The soundtrack to Hitman 2: Silent Assassin will be available at the end of October. You can pre-order it direct from here. The soundtrack is 65 minutes long and you can get a track listing and MP3 clips at the site. The first 100 people to pre-order get a signed copy of the soundtrack.Bradley

I don't think many people care about that score here. I once mentioned it, and noone said a thing.
I love that main theme, I think it fits Agent 47 perfectly.
Do you know if the official release will have more orchestral music than the promo? The electronic music will mostly likley be disregarded here.[Message edited by TimT on 10-15-2002]

The clips I heard (and the music in the game so far) has been mostly orchestral. I haven't heard much electronic music yet. The soundtrack is going to include bonus tracks from the first Hitman game that will have more electronic music.
Info from the site:
"Jesper Kyd (Silents, Kyd/Balle Productions, etc.) composed this music which was then performed in Budapest by 110 musicians from the Budapest Symphony Orchestra and Choir - and mixed & edited in Denmark at major Copenhagen studio "RadioHusets Concert Hall".""The CD also contains 3 bonus tracks; two of the best tracks of music from the original "Hitman - Codename 47" game (which are otherwise not available outside the game), and one brand new unreleased music track from Jesper Kyd, produced in his studio in New York.
Some of the tracks on this CD also use electronic instruments together with the orchestral, to mix up the sound and keep it fresh. This gives a more varied and pleasurable listening experience; as the whole album plays for about 1 hour and 5 minutes."

What kind of game is Hitman? Never heard of it.I made my own score CD from the Medal of Honor: Allied Assault MP3s last week, it's a great score.

Hitman is very different from Medal of Honor.
Instead of storming into a room, gunz-a-blazing, smoking every moving thing. You are an assassin. You must kill without being seen or heard by anyone. You must hide the bodies of the people you kill so that know one suspsects something is wrong. You can even take thier clothes off to wear as a disguise, and walk around without getting much attention.
You could go in gunz-a-blazing if you wanted to, but you get points by your stealth, and taking out as few people other than the your main target as possible.

Well, the best FPS I have played in recent memory is Mafia. It has a fantastic score, with a main theme to rival most films. It deserves a release. Two cents given...

Sounds a lot like Thief/Dark Project though, and that game scared me so much, I never finished it.Myself, I'm playing Jedi Outcast for the second time right now.
