    Folks,

What we have here is another "Tomorrow Never Dies." From the looks of it this is only the score to the first half of the film.

So all we can do is hope that someone releases a second CD of the "full score" which I think is probably unlikely.

In a better world, we'd have a second volume with maybe a bonus track title song by David Arnold & Don Black that would help erase the disaster of the Madonna song.

Oh well, more bad film music news.

    <Sigh>

    James

We all know what Track 1 is like...
We can all dread what Track 2 is like... (but I'm hopeful & optimistic)

The last track looks like it has great love theme potential.

Any idea how long these tracks are? Hope they're long, cos there's not much of them.

Looks like a 45 minute album, so 37+ minutes of score?

Where is Chapter III when you need them?

I sincerely hope that commanderbond.net is ever-so-slightly mistaken in its information. There's no finale music, no ICE PALACE music, no surfing music, no music for ZAO... no music for GUSTAV GRAVES... where's Miranda Frost's theme? Come on now. It can't be right.

That's a good guess, but I was told that it's about 40 minutes of score, plus the songs.

Yeah, I am really hoping that there's something more to come from all this.... I mean... where on earth is the 2nd half of the score??

    Grrr.....

I also read on the same website that Arnold wrote about 100 minutes of score for the film.

    Damn it!

Well, what was nice about the original TND album was that even thouhg it was half the score it still made a great 40-minute listen. I don't know how this will work, seeing as the penultimate track is called "Wheelchair Access"? WTF?

I attended a mixing session for the score at Air Lyndhurst in London the other day. From what I heard, the score is amazing. David Arnold told me there are even more electronics in this score, which some purists may complain about, but I think it works. I heard some action music from a car chase across a glacier. It kicked arse.

The album does only contain about 40 mins of score, which I'm sure everyone will be disappointed to hear. By the way, he told me that he, and all the other big name composers read these messageboards... so beware!

Well, then he should know that a "volume 2" with the 2nd half of the score is pretty much requested of all his fans.

Wow, I'm excited to hear the score, based on Steve's comments, but I already enjoyed Arnold's work regardless. I do hope some of that climactic music makes it to disc in some form or fashion.

Oh, and hello to you David Arnold!

As I said before, the thought that they actually read some of this stuff scares me. Mainly because these "fanboy rants" are totally demoralizing and out of control most of the time. It's easy to be cruel and negative when you aren't face to face with someone.

Here's to hoping Mr. Arnold knows he has a lot of supporters who admire his work and hope he is able to release more of what I am sure is another exciting James Bond score.

Funny, since Paul Tonks reported this score having less electronics than TWINE.

    Go figure....

What, you actually think Chris would tell? I'm sure the official tracklisting will be available soon enough. The CD is what, 3 or 4 weeks away? Surely we can be patient.

Regardless, I'm happy the info above has been confirmed false. Juha, it's stuff like Bond, Star Trek, Star Wars, and Jerry Goldsmith for which we don't post rumors! Too many people get upset. LOL.

So now you are proposing that Chris Neel of MGM Music is spreading rumors? You make a similar suggestion here.

    Are you on something?

If Chris says the tracklisting is false, I think we can be pretty darned sure it's false. If anyone knows, it'd be him.

Guys, guys, guys! Peter is right (as always).

We need to start preserving disk space. This is why I suggest we all adopt the Dick Cheney energy consumption model.

    From now on:

    No more jokes.
    No more superlatives.
    No more signatures.
    No more whining.
No more three-syllable words and above.
No more repeating a word in the same post.

    And the most important rule:

No more talking about James Horner! Do you guys realize the disk space we waste when we do that??
