Any other Rosza fans excited about the release of this score? Solid music, unmistakably Rozsa's. No motion picture artwork, so maybe we'll get something like... a Peak painting a la Varese? Or some crayola scribbling that might actually be cool if it looked like something Saul Bass might have done? Looking forward to the CD, nonetheless.

Well, Justin, I've never actually heard that song parody sung, but it seems the words would match the "Colonel Bogey March" from "The Bridge on the River Kwai" pretty well.

John Williams played part of it at the awards show when he made a long suite of other composers work to pay tribute to film scores.

Having seen this twice many years ago, once on a double date, and once at ROTC camp in 1969, the film was kind of laughable even then. The music is pretty good in places with a nice militaristic theme. The main and end titles are the Green Berets song. Lots of humorous music in it for the Hutton and little boy characters. Totally ridiculous battle scenes and the Col on the patrol is silly at the end. My favorite scene is when Puff the Magic Dragon, C-130 gunship flies over and all the gatling guns, machine guns and 20mm riddle the enemy at the camp they just took. Shows lots of guys just standing there looking up and then a bunch of dummies get riddled. Very realistic, you know?

    See ya, J.

    "Puff the Magic Dragon"

He he... oh naughty me. Want to hear another song i learned as a kid?

    You do? Well then:

    "Puff the magic dingle berry,
lives in the crack of my butt.
    He frolics though my underwear,
cause i never clean him up."
