The rescuers down under (Bruce Broughton). What an awesome soundtrack. I highly recommended it.

    Dragonheart (Randy Edelman)
Finally! I wanted the soundtrack since it was released (I just got it because when it was first released, I was 8 and my dad didn't like me to buy soundtracks. It's addictive, he used to say. It is certainly, so what? It’s entirely worthwhile. As you can imagine it took me a while to start making my collection. There are so many soundtracks I'm looking forward to buy...)

    Signs (James Newton Howard)

Altlantis, the lost empire (James Newton Howard)

How are they? I used to want to buy them for that theme, until I found out that it's by Quincy Jones (and I now have it on a Jones album). I can't remember anything else from the scores.

New stuff thanks to the library:

    • Drake 400 - Ron Goodwin compilation. Just listening to it for the first time, great stuff. Drake is a 14 minute piece full of great British sea music.
    • The World Is Not Enough (David Arnold) - Has some nice bits. Why are so few other film composers' scores coming out on HDCD.
    • Cinema Serenade 2 (Williams & Perlamn) - haven't listened yet

NP: The Spaceman and King Arthur (Ron Goodwin)

Taxi Driver complete - I just poped in each of the cds listed here just to hear the sound qaulity, but i got to say, this one was interesting. I goes into my pile of cds that i want to listen to later.

    Monsters Inc. complete

    Ice Age complete

Psycho complete- original tracks. Just love the Psycho scores. It lamost sounds like those strings are screaming.

North By Northwest complete - Interesting, another one for the pile.

Random Hearts complete - Piles getting to big now.

Sgt. Bilko - another guilty pleasure for me.

    Phenomenon

Bicentennial Man 2CD complete - I'll give it a fare chance, just becasue it is Horner.

A Far Off Place complete - Didn't pop it in yet. Hope it's good.

Please, don't use "Justin" and "money" in the same sentence. Considering none of the CDs listed above generated anyone a single cent except maybe the post office.

I think Justin is only succeeding at painting a big target on his head. I would expect the word "discretion" to be completely absent from his vocabulary.

NP: A 3 disc set of something really cool and I wouldn't dream of telling Justin about it.

That's okay BMikeJ, i probably know what it is anyway.

    I don't list everything i get.....
(Big use of discretion. If you people only knew. If some of you only cared.)

But it should be noted, over the past month and a half i bought about 7 cds, so everyone shut up.

As for majestyx, he like everyone else has a life and doesn't allways have the time to trade so i am like a secondary person. But majestyx i sure am not. Not even by half.

    Underrated?

    Try these wonderful scores:

Star Trek 5: The Final Frontier - Jerry Goldsmith

The Fifth Element - Eric Serra

And one that is not so much underrated as it is unknown by many:

    Jake Speed - Mark Snow

    John Powell scored Rat Race.

New to my collection is that new Max Steiner: the RKO Years from BYU.
Amazing set. Well worth the money, and that 72-page booklet is awesome. Very informative.

At Play in the Fields of the Lord, by Zbigniew Preisner...good stuff, though you gotta fight through the "native music."
