In today's Daily Variety, columnist Army Archerd writes "And talking music, Martin Scorsese has set composer Howard Shore to join Elmer Bernstein, Bono and Peter Gabriel in musicking 'The Gangs of New York.' This music, previously written by Shore, has never before been licensed."

Does anybody have any idea what this "previously written" music could possibly be?

Maybe it's a one of his concert compositions he's written?
