Can we expect any new Herrmann-rerecordings from Varese? Would be great to hear THE BRIDE WORE BLACK. I just saw the music on the documentary today, and thought it to be beautiful. Or a new recording of THE GHOST AND MRS. MUIR.Which Benny Score would you seen newly recorded?
Thanks!
Philipp

The Bride Wore Black would be a nice addition to our collections, but I think there are scores more worthy of re-recording than The Ghost & Mrs. Muir, of which we have both a very nice OST release and the Bernstein version. I would LOVE for McNeely and co. to record The Devil and Daniel Webster. One of Herrmann's very best scores, thus far only availible in suite-form. Or how about On Dangerous Ground? Or even Endless Night, since the OST will probably never see the light of day. Or It's Alive?
There's plenty of scores to keep the record companies busy for the next couple of years

Amer<<<<Provided, of course, that Marco Polo continues the John and Bill series, which is now in limbo. Red River and the Max Steiner duo All This, And Heaven Too/A Stolen Life are next up for release but after that, who knows.

i would like to see/hear new recordings of his two De Palma-scores, OBSESSION and SISTERS.
THE WRONG MAN and THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH on one disc together would be nice too!

All of the above are great but if pushed into a corner I'd have to go with THE GHOST AND MRS MUIR even though I enjoy Elmer's re-recording of this it's just such a gorgeous score
