I know there hasn't been much discussion about this one...probably because it will have a useless rock album release. Anyway, I caught a show last night detailing a preview of the film. They went inside the theatre while the film was rolling...interestingly enough, the scene that they captures was temped with The Peacemaker.

Who is doing the score? Based on the temp track I guess we know what to expect?

NP The dull murmur of the office...

I don't know who scored it, but it would be cool if Trevor Jones did it.

But I think its more likly it was "BT".

I think Randy Edelman is scoring it.

Tim, one of Edelman's last projects was Black Knight, which (if you don't judge the book by its cover) is a pretty good score. Then again, I'm a fan of Edelman's work. I'd like to see it confirmed that Edelman's doing Triple X... doesn't sound like a film he'd be attached to. But hey, whatever works. He's an intriguing choice.

Considering the number of films directed by Cohen that Edelman has scored, I wouldn't be surprised if he was doing this picture. IMDB is also crediting Edelman with this assignment but we all know what that means.

Given Edelman's work on Daylight, I think he should be able to handle XXX if he is scoring it.

NO WAY!!! with something like XXX, I imagine that the director/producers would want an orchestral/hard rock/techno score. I have Daylight and that doesn't even come close to what they might look for. I saw Black Knight and though it does have a Hip-hop sound, it's gonna require some major reinvention of the Edelman orchestrations.

In a related note, have anyone seen the recent theatrical trailer? It features E.S. Posthumus music Sounds nice!
Maybe the producers should give the Vonlichten Bros a chance at scoring
