The score's by Klaus Badelt, and I'm excited because The Pledge has become one of my favorites.I don't know how long it is, Best Buy only has the tracklisting down. But I'd imagine it's at least 50 minutes just from the track titles- they don't look like 1:25 tracks.

K-19 is not an action film, though there are "action-y" sequences in the film. Look for this one to include the typical MV "power anthem".There's a scene in the film where the submarine surfaces in an ice field and the submariners climb out for a game of soccer on the ice. I can tell you that the filmmakers are gonna sell this moment as truly epic, and it should be a high point of the score.
I was listening to Lennie Moore's OUTCAST game score when I read the script last year. Too bad they didn't go with him!

Ryan,You recommend Lennie for every film score.

He's an excellent composer, no doubt. I just find this funny, that's all.

The fact is, I tried to slip a CD of music which included parts of OUTCAST, into Walter Murch's hands. I dunno if he ever got the CD, but it contained the cue from U-571 that was used in the trailer!Ryan

There's a loop of music on the Paramount "K-19" website. Don't know if it is actual score from the film.James

This film looks like one helluva turkey if I've ever seen one.

The thumbs-up is for Hasta.A BIG thumbs-down for Harrison Ford, whose career is absolutely, positively over. He's one submarine movie too late.

Big deal.
Winters edited GASLIGHT, THE PINK PANTHER, and THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR, among others.
