I'm VERY INTRIGUED as to what this sounds like. Largo -> slow elegy? Adagio -> soft, pensive? Allegro -> fast pace? Misterioso -> WTF??????

The score's by Klaus Badelt, and I'm excited because The Pledge has become one of my favorites.

I don't know how long it is, Best Buy only has the tracklisting down. But I'd imagine it's at least 50 minutes just from the track titles- they don't look like 1:25 tracks.

K-19 is not an action film, though there are "action-y" sequences in the film. Look for this one to include the typical MV "power anthem".

There's a scene in the film where the submarine surfaces in an ice field and the submariners climb out for a game of soccer on the ice. I can tell you that the filmmakers are gonna sell this moment as truly epic, and it should be a high point of the score.

I was listening to Lennie Moore's OUTCAST game score when I read the script last year. Too bad they didn't go with him!

    Ryan,

You recommend Lennie for every film score.

He's an excellent composer, no doubt. I just find this funny, that's all.

The fact is, I tried to slip a CD of music which included parts of OUTCAST, into Walter Murch's hands. I dunno if he ever got the CD, but it contained the cue from U-571 that was used in the trailer!

There's a loop of music on the Paramount "K-19" website. Don't know if it is actual score from the film.

This film looks like one helluva turkey if I've ever seen one.

    The thumbs-up is for Hasta.

A BIG thumbs-down for Harrison Ford, whose career is absolutely, positively over. He's one submarine movie too late.

And Murch edited I LOVE TROUBLE.

    Big deal.

Winters edited GASLIGHT, THE PINK PANTHER, and THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR, among others.
