I love this movie. I saw it today and I was absolutely overtaken by it. It was very sweet in the classic Disney tradition of old. I like the Silvestri theme for the emotional moments. Man, with Mr. Deeds and now this movie, it has been a fun, sweet and entertaining time at the movie. Go see Lilo & Stitch, you won't regret it.

I'll second this....took the wife to see it this afternoon, and it's a really sweet family film. Good animation as well

Silvestri contributed a dark 'Judge Dredd' like theme for the opening scenes(with a theme I swear that is similar to something else he's done, but I can't place it), nice family themes, and some rousing action for the finale. I don't know if I could take the entire score on album, but a good 30mins. would be welcome....hopefully someone can fill us in as to what is contained in the 3 cues/20mins. on Disney's album. Also cool to see that he composed and produced the two more traditional Hawaiian songs heard in the film

    Best,
    Sean

Wow! This looks like a very different thing from Disney, something fresh, I don't know, but I like the look of the movie, very beautiful. Cute girls

Stitch looks like a cute little monster. The part in the trailer where he's used as a record player really cracks me up. His table manners are impressive, too!

I don't think I'll be seeing it any time soon, though...

Wow, so far all i've gotten is just one repsonse from OHMSS, who actually saw the movie, while the rest are opinions based on trailers they've seen. Totally not what I had expected.

It didn't impress me that much. I think a lot of plot holes were very evident, even for a kids' movie. Th4e biggest one was how Stitch came to understand the memaning of family. Lilo had been trying to teach him that for the whole movie, and then when everyone's in danger -- bang! -- he gets it.

I liked the animation. It's nice to see Disney and DreamWorks (with Spirit) go back to more traditional animation.

If I had a choice to see Spirit or Lilo & Stitch again, I'd choose Spirit.

If anyone liked the music in the film, just a heads up that SoundtrackNet's latest contest is the LILO & STITCH soundtrack, with 19 minutes of songs, and 20 minutes of Silvestri's score...

As much as I like Spirit, it didn't leave me with as much satisfaction or enjoyment as Lilo & Stitch did. Both are good movie though

Dan is there really 20 minutes of Silvestri's score? I thought there was like 15 minutes of score plus 5 minutes of Hawaiian songs done by Silvestri to make a total of 20 minutes.

    No big deal, just curious.

I liked the movie. It was fun. I took the family Saturday, and my 4 year old really liked it. And Silvestri's score was also great.

When I timed it out, I only timed out the 3 score tracks, and it was 20-minutes. With the 2 Hawaiian songs, that would be over 25 minutes of Silvesti-involved material.

Like I started to say above, I thought the film was great. It had humor, action, and sentiment in all the right amounts. And the animation was absolutely beautiful, colors rich and vibrant, every frame a work of art.

Silvestri's score was kinda basic at the onset, but during some of the later action cues I thought it was a blast. Good heroic stuff, with a great theme.

Nice to see that it did well at the box office. I don't think anyone was expecting anything to be able to compete with Minority Report, but apparently they came out of the weekend less than $1 million apart, with MR ahead by a nose hair.

Great movie, worth seeing for all ages.

Dan, I don't know what "Stitch" cd you were timing out, but I get UNDER 15 minutes of Silvestri score when I counted.

    10. Stitch to the Rescue -- 5:54
    11. You Can Never Belong -- 3:54
    12. I'm Lost -- 4:41

This comes out to just shy of 15 mins. These plus the two hawaiian songs comes out to roughly 20 mins.

I'm also a bit dissapointed with this release -- the score tracks give a good representation of the two main themes, but a lot of the fun action music is missing. Oh well.

Saw it last night...fantastic!! My wife and I agree that this is probably our favorite Disney film.

From memorable characters, to a healthy balance of humor and sentiment, along with beautifully simplistic animation this one is a keeper. I loved the watercolor look of the backgrounds. Silvestri score was strong and the Hawaiian songs are quite enjoyable.

And as far as The King goes...well it worked just fine.
