THE OMEGA MAN has been sold out. So do the right thing and innundate FILM SCORE MONTHLY with e-mails, and demand that they press another few thousand copies.

Here's a mix of SURPRISE PARTY, NEVILLE CRASHES THROUGH, and a few other excerpts.

This is a track that someone labeled MOTORCYCLE.

Guys, we love this album and we'd love for everyone to have one, but this is really out of our hands--our deal with Warners specifies a limited edition of 3000 and no more. We sold out, and that's the alpha and omega of that story...

It was in print for over 2 years, which is longer than most major label soundtracks are available. I noticed on the FSM board people are complaining that ENTER THE DRAGON (from
Warner Home Video) has sold out. That one lasted 3 or 4 years!

As Spike Lee has someone say in all of his movies, "WAKE UP!"

Hmm, let me see. I've got mine! Yay.

Too bad for those who sat on their asses. The online film score community knew for months that the supplies of the disc were low.

    The moral of the story:

Sell enough CDRs of an OOP disc on ebay and it will be re-released:

    http://www.moviemusic.com/soundtrack/omegaman-rmst

Direct from FSM: "we could not stand by and watch clowns selling CD-Rs on eBay of our out-of-print disc and do nothing to stop it!"

So there you have it... the answer to all our pains.

Not surprising there's a crap load of bitching about this reissue on FSM.
