David, quit your whining. You sound like that twerp Bondo over at Film Score Monthly. So what if threads go off topic? I don't see anyone else on this board complaining when a thread goes away from the exact beginning message on the thread. That would be boring. Besides, this conversation is excellent, why would you want to ruin it by holding a whine fest because things aren't going just your way? Grow up, and let the thread run its course. Going off and creating a NEW thread just for the subtopic in this one is a waste of time and immature.Mike

1) You sound like that jerk, Big Bear, over at FSM.
2) Nobody else complains their threads go off topic? What's your point? Nobody else cares for an expanded ALONG CAME A SPIDER, but I'm not gonna stop wanting it.
3) I don't call trying to get back on track "whining". And, since you seem to have already forgotten, I started a separate thread for this, so I have not ruined it.
4) Wrong! Going off and creating a new thread for this subtopic is a way of saving the one that has been screwed up, and I know you used the word immature just to talk down to me.
Maybe I'll go and screw up the next thread of your with some bitching about an irrelevant topic.

Blah blah blah. Do you really think someone's going to go over to a new thread to continue a conversation when one can just hit the "reply with quote" button on this thread and save a LOT of time? No! And I wouldn't give a hoot if you came in and started posting off topic in a thread I created. It's not like I have a password for the thread and can censor posts before they are put on the internet for all to see. It's sad that you care way too much about your thread going away from brown-nosing Varese.Mike

Actually, Mike, some people are NOT too lazy (like you) to simply go over to a thread which is actually sutiable for such talk.Reality check: It is sad that you care way too much about dissing people just because you disagree with them. Yeah, I started a thread, it went off-topic, and I wanted to get it back on track. What the hell was I thinking?

By the way, learn the definition of brown-nosing. What I am doing is not brown-nosing because I mean every nice thing I say about Varese. One brown-noses ONLY to gain respect from them.

You know, I'm dissing your posts because I'm bored, and have nothing better to do. Reading your responses makes me laugh. They entertain me. There is a very simple reason not to create a new thread for every subtopic that gets generated in the master thread. It would create too much clutter on the main page of the board, and would push too many topics to page two, where I'm sure the page hits drop significantly (Peter, feel free to correct me if my assumption is wrong). Furthermore, it's royally amusing to see that you think brown-nosing is done to gain someone's respect. If you have to earn someone's respect by kissing his ass, you either never were going to get respect, or you don't deserve it.

Well, you have no idea what's going on on this side of the computer!

That IS what brown-noising is. If it meant complimenting for genuine reasons, then such a stupid term would not apply in the first place.

Oh, come on. Do you know why the term is called "brown-nosing"? It's because you get **** on your nose from all the ass kissing you do. Do you REALLY think that is a good thing?Mike
PS: Look at this. Your thread is even FURTHER off topic. Yay.

Like I said before, the moronic term "brown-nosing" shouldn't apply if you are showing true admiration. And I bet you've been brown-BRAINING your own self.Yeah, you are excited that this has led my thread to be further off-topic. Well then I just won't reply to pathetic "I'm so bored, I'm about to kill myself" post. See how much fun you have by your own pitiful self.

Brown-braining my own self? That's a new term to me; did you just make it up? And your line "I'm so bored, I'm about to kill myself" is borderline psychotic. Nothing's wrong with being bored and killing said boredom with posting on a message board.
Maybe next time you start a thread, it'll be on your own message board where you can have a kill button for any post that even wavers off topic. I'm sure that would make you happy.Mike

Dudettes, let's cut the crap. Don't even think about getting it going on a new thread either. There's more important stuff to bother all of us with.
