Somebody must have purchased this cd. Any opinions?
Once again, I have no clue when this will be released in England (probably around the time of the film) and can`t find any sound clips online, so info would be appreciated.

Or is nobody buying these Varese albums?
(reference to the minimal amount of replies to my question about the Insomnia score)

    From Intrada:

    DAVID ARNOLD
    Enough Varese 66366 $16.99
(44:36) Jennifer Lopez thriller carries strong orchestral score. Sometimes severe, sometimes exciting music emphasizes edge and atmosphere. Several lengthy cues develop considerable intensity. Solid action music a plus, ambiguous finish a minus. Nicholas Dodd conducts Hollywood Studio Symphony.

I'll take Doug Fake's word on this stuff any day o' the week

Sean, does that mean you'll be buying a copy?

Anyway, I was originally going to pick this up along with Arnold's Changing Lanes. When I read about the one being another 'Baby Boy' type of score though I lost most of my enthusiasm for both. I love the majority of Arnold's work, but, that one didn't do much for me.

That all said, Enough sounds promising enough!

Probably not, unless I get on some D. Arnold kick here soon

I would probably like Baby Boy, from what I've heard, although it seems to be universally despised...ENOUGH sounds good though, I'm curious how he works in the action writing...Changing Lanes, while having a good main title, is just about useless....sorry everyone, but that album is a waste...but the film opened at #1, so if it helps get things like CABLE HOGUE out there, bring on Changing Lanes Vol.2!!!

Actually, not only was this movie incredibly crappy, but I found the score to be lacking as well...

Now that's not to say it was buried and chopped up in a reaalllllly stale, flat, uninvolving, predictable film, which has happened numerous times. But the score felt just like a 'filler' score. Not even cribbed from stuff - which I guess in today's day and age is something - but just like you could practically hear "generic Hollywood PG13 thriller score" branded all over it.

Despite some of the more aggressive/urban-y tracks of BABY BOY and CHANGING LANES, I found the melodic, moody, brooding stuff in both those scores well worth owning, whereas I'd have to give this a serious listen to recommend it or buy it given what I heard in the film.

I actually enjoy this score quite a bit.It combines the urban/techno style of Arnold's, heard in scores such as Baby Boy and Changing Lanes, and his more driving orchestral action music heard in Tomorrow Never Dies. One track in particular reminds me of Arnold's great Shaft score.

It's not anything that you haven't heard from Arnold before, but if you like the scores listed above you will probably enjoy Enough.

That goes for me too. There's also others I am more interested in hearing at the moment. If I get a copy, it will most likely be later this summer.

I don't know! I kind of liked Baby Boy, I am just not interested in another one that sounds nearly identical. This for an example, is why I haven't bought many of Thomas Newman's more recent work. I like American Beauty and all, but, enough is enough...

Anyway, anyone know where some samples from Changing Lanes and Enough can be located. In this circumstance, I think it will be for the best, to try before I buy...
