Had to learn that Sum of All Fears probably won't be out here until the movie starts - which is in autumn!

    Picked up instead:

    • Aram Khatchaturian: Spartacus, Gayaneh (excerpts) (Vienna Philharmonic, Khachaturian) - had a CDR, but it was damaged plus this album was cheap

On Friday I picked up "The Godfather Part 2" by Nino Rota (*****/*****) (the moment I finished the cd, I knew it was one of the five greatest scores I've ever heard).

I still keep spending money I should better save... Looking for scores that are nowhere to be found (today: Minority Report doesn't help, because there's always something else I find and pick up. Today, this turned out to be the DVD for Disney's Robin Hood.

We were soldiers / NGS ****/*****
(Very good and emotional score, despite the temp influences)

    The One / Rabin */*****
(What the **** is this?! I mean I normally like Rabin, but this is just **** . Starts out well, but then degenerates into synth droning and random heavy metal trashing as opposed to `cool` heavy metal stylistics a`la Kull the Conqueror)

Director`s Cuts: Epic Themes / Media Ventures
    ****/*****
(Definitely the best of the series)

    Director`s Cuts: Drama / MV
    ****/*****
(Some great stuff, like the Pearl Harbour trailer music)

    Crimson Tide expanded *****/*****

    The Peacemaker complete 2-cd *****/*****

STAR WARS: ATTACK OF THE CLONES (Johnny W) - Haven't had much time to read all the opinions of this, but I get the impression that people think it's sort of average, in general. So do I, but average Johnny Dubbelyou is still streets ahead of most stuff. I like it. What is noticeable though is how it doesn't have an immediate STAR WARS identity, not like the first movies. If anyone puts out a CD of The Best Of Star Wars, I think there would be less and less tracks from the recent films. "Across The Skies" sounds like instant classic material though.
