    Okay,

I was reading Drew Moriarty's review of the X-men 2 script over at aintitcoolnews.com and in the review he mentions that in addition to adding some newly filmed scenes with Storm & Cyclops for a special edtion X-men DVD, that John Ottman is doing a new score for the film.

Now this is in addtion to editing X-men 2 and scoring it.

I find all this very hard to believe.

Any news to confirm or deny this story????

    James

    Deny deny deny!

    Not true at ALL.

What a silly (and stupid) rumor.

X-MEN 1.5 might not even HAPPEN.

Well that's what I thought. I mean it would be a fanboy's dream to have that done but also would be VERY expensive. Especially to do it right.

Yeah. Moriarty doesn't know what he's talkin' about. It's a nice "fantasy" - but the reality of it? No-siree.

All very disrespectful to Kamen if you ask me.

Listen to the end credits and give the guy a break.

    Brian, you're being silly.

1.5 will PROBABLY happen - but right now it's a LOW priority compared to X-MEN 2. (Duh.)

    Ottman will NOT re-score 1.5.

I thought 20th Century Fox (ugh, that name needs to change now) built in time during X2 for some new scenes for the X-men DVD Special, which would be great. But Ottman rescoring and editing it, too?? Seems really unlikely.

Yeah - see above. It's not happening.

The only thing Ottman would be doing is editing the new sequences into the film.... no new music.

Unless...maybe.. the new scenes need music?

Although it would probably be just reworked bits of Kamens score, otherwise it wouldn't fit properly.

Most likely, it would be Kamen's score tracked in somehow to fit the new scenes.

That was my thinking. It just wouldn't sound right to have Ottman coming in for one or two scenes - if he was going to do it, then it would have to be all of it. And I think we've established that that isn't going to happen.

Actually, just got word today from Ottman: X-MEN 1.5 ain't gonna happen.

Probably will still get a SE DVD, but no new scenes will be filmed.
