Hello,
I recently decided to rearrange the cues on the Oscar promo to the Williams score, but I absolutely could NOT find some of the cues (some cues in the film did not appear on this Oscar edition, either; there are a few cues that sound like original versions of those cues, but who knows?). Has anyone done this who could possibly shed some light?

Thanks,
Shaun

Hi,

Not sure if this will help (I think it might), but here are some track titles for the Oscar Promo disks:

Disk One:

1. The Mecha World
2. Cybertronics
3. Hide And Seek
4. Stored Memories / Monica's Theme
5. Abandoned In The Woods (alternate, but closer to the film version than the album version) / Rouge City
6. Stored Memories (Part 2)
7. The Search For The Blue Fairy
8. Perfume / 'Will You Die?' / Teddy
9. Replicas
10. The Moon Rising (film version)
11. The Reunion

Disc Two

1. Abandoned In The Woods (album version)
2. End Credits (alternate)
3. The Arrival of David
4. A Few Simple Procedures
5. Martin Returns
6. Imprinting David
7. Martin Returns (alternate version- not used in the final film)
8. “What is the first thing you remember?”
9. Reading Pinocchio
10. The Table
11. Neither Flesh Nor Blood
12. The Haircut
13. Pool Sequence
14. The Dark Drive
15. “We Found Him”
16. Unused Cue
17. Unused Cue
18. David and the Supermecha

There was also a nice discussion about this on the JWFAN.net message boards.

Grrr. I love the film version of The Moon Rising better than the CD version. It's my favorite cue in the film. On CD, it's second to The Mecha World (which doesn't flow as well the film).

That's why I need to ferret out a copy of the Oscar promo disc for myself!
