So, how many cds do you own now? I am constantly speeding up to my 700 mark. Tomorrow I´ll be getting 9 (repeat it class, 9) cds, and on monday, thanks to good soul Marian, 12. Although not all from Marian will be film music related. He packed some surprises in there I guess.

This week I surpassed the 2,000 CD mark.... And I can literally count my NON-soundtrack CDs on my hands.....
Also, are you guys counting CD-Rs, or originals?

Film scores must be between 250 and 300 now, plus over 100 classical and a few others. Counting originals and CDRs (I count the music, not the money
).Am I the only one who finds that the more CDs I get, the more difficult it seems to become to decide what CD I want to play at a specific moment? And not because there's so much I want to play, but because there's suddenly nothing that fits my mood.

I've got near 400 CD's, most of them being soundtracks.I've been making my own CD-R's lately, as well, including:
The (Near) Complete Soundtracks to:
1. Never Been Kissed
2. Back to the Future (including 3 songs not included on the original compilation)
3. Pump Up the Volume
I say "near" because there are just some songs and score selections that just aren't available anywhere! But for my resources (radio station), I've made an adequate expansion. Makes the new "expanded" Forrest Gump look tiny.

According to my listing over at SoundtrackCollector, I own 199 soundtracks.
This doesn't include CD-Rs... I think I have about 3 CD-Rs.

Good sound on the Back to the Future boot. As far as I know, (unless someone came up with the same idea I did), this is the only one available. I utilised four sources:a. Back to the Future 1985 CD song compilation
b. Back to the Future boot score - Alan Silvestri
c. The Back to the Future Trilogy - Varese re-recording
d. Downloaded songs off the internetI used a wav editor to trim and clean (to the best of my abilities) the downloaded songs, loaded every track at 160 kbps, and then assembled them in chronological order.
What follows is ONE CD of every available piece of music from this fantastic film!
1. The Power of Love - Huey Lewis & The News 3:56
2. Time Bomb Town - Lindsey Buckingham 2:46
3. The DeLorean Revealed :43
4. Einstein Disintegrates 1:19
5. The Libyans 4:31
6. Race from Twin Pines Ranch/Ditching the DeLorean 1:45
7. Mr. Sandman - The Four Aces 2:34
8. The Town Square 1955 1:13
9. The Ballad of Davy Crockett - Fess Parker 2:11
10. It Worked!!/Retrieving the DeLorean 1:11
11. Doc's Plan 1:33
12. The Wallflower (Dance with Me, Henry) - Etta James 2:43
13. The Skateboard Chase 1:35
14. The Letter 1:16
15. Night Train - Marvin Berry & The Starlighters 2:16
16. Pledging My Love - Johnny Ace 2:27
17. The Kiss :36
18. Earth Angel (Will You Be Mine) - Marvin Berry & The Starlighters 3:00
19. Johnny B. Goode - Marty McFly & The Starlighters 3:04
20. It's Been Educational :53
21. The Clock Tower 10:03
22. Heaven Is (One Step Away) - Eric Clapton 4:12
23. 1985 Lone Pine Mall 3:45
24. 4 x 4 :58
25. Doc Returns 1:11
26. Back in Time - Huey Lewis & The News 4:17
27. End Credits 3:09It's a good nearly 70 minute disc.

I feel like the outsider here...only 105. And I've been buying CDs for about eight years now.I don't buy CDs just to say I have that rare score. I buy them because I want to listen to the score over and over and over and over and over and over.....

Well over a thousand but then I have been at this game since the early 70's!jeffy, I like your attitude, better to have a hundred or so CD's that your familiar with than thousands that you haven't had time to digest, and I speak from experience, I reckon I have a good hundred or so CD's that I am not familiar with at all (probably played once)...if only I could stop buying mouth watering items and catch up

Almost 500 for me. That's in less than 4 years of collecting. If I keep this up, I will have about 10.000 CD's when I'm 100 years old.
I'm sure I will.
