Just wanted to shift your attention to this little great score by Debbie Wiseman. A great classical score with a charming piano theme. Especially track 7 THE GHOSTS APPEAR is worth more listens !

    A great and underrated one.

Never saw the film, but the score is great. Toss in WILDE, and Wiseman's got some good stuff under her belt!

Well, to start you might want to check out Ms. Wiseman's website for information:
    http://www.debbiewiseman.co.uk/

I first heard her music when her score to the film "Tom & Viv" was released here in the U.S. on Sony Classical.

Since then I've also gotten her other works when I can find them. While I like most of her work, I am probably most fond of the aforementioned "Haunted" and "Tom's Midnight Garden" which has a lovely song written with Don Black.

Speaking of Debbie Wiseman & Don Black, I also happen to have a CD that was given away in the UK with the Times Educational Supplement. It is a Millennium Anthem for Children & Orchestra written by them called "There's Only One Of You". It's quite a rare little find and I'm appreciative to my good friend Barry in England for sending me that.

There's a great Wiseman compilation disc featuring her conducting the Royal Phil on a Silva release called "Something Wild". It's worth finding.

Also, her 2004 score to "Arsene Lupin" is really quite good. She has a new score this year for a small little film called "Middletown." No release yet here in the states (I think it was shown at Tribeca). It features a solo violin against orchestra.

The Silva UK version is in the MM store. I don't know if they plan to release it in the US? It's not showing on KOCH's Silva America distribution list, but that only goes out to September 5th.
