Hey!!! After sitting around for ages wondering if Javier Navarettes fine score for this underseen Guillermo del Toro film (out on UK DVD this week) would ever get anything like a release, I pop over to Percepto to check some info about their Changeling CD. And what do I find there? This!!! Dang it, how did this get out without my finding out about it? And, more to the point, without anyone one this board mentioning it?
And then I also look at what they've got, & I see the HGL & Phantasm CD's. Didn't know about them either! Am I just being really stupid & unobservant, am I visiting all the wrong places, or does Percepto need to do a better advertising job? Whatever, I'll be heading over there right now to put a nice order in. What with these, Changeling & Boy Who Could Fly, I'm turning into a huge Percepto fan! Despite the fact that they're costing me lots of money.

    Go, Percepto, go!!!!

Does anyone know what the difference is between Percepto's PHANTASM and the multiple releases that have come out over the years?

Also, in the listing for PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE, the description should read that it's the first U.S. release of the soundtrack, as it was released on CD in Japan some time ago by Pony Canyon/A&M. Great album.

I can't wait for the 2-CD, 3-film FLY compilation! Knowing Percepto's past productions, this should be another first rate release.

    Ooookay. Some clarification.

Percepto is like Intrada.... they release original albums (ala THE CHANGELING, etc.) and they also act as a reseller, selling hard-to-find albums that tend to be imports (ala THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE).

So.... unless it's a "PCR-###" release, (and there are only seven of them to date), it's something being "resold" - like PHANTASM, THE DEVIL'S BACKBONE, CARNIVAL OF SOULS, JEEPERS CREEPERS, etc....

Hope that clears some things up!
    Dan
