Apologies (Dan) if someone else has already posted this. Just spotted this over at Music From The Movies...

Music from the Movies has a number of other scoring scoops for you. We have confirmed that Graeme Revell will return to the superhero genre scoring Daredevil starring Ben Affleck, that Philip Glass has been hired to score The Hours, and that Shirley Walker has two exciting horror scores coming up, Willard and Final Destination 2. Christopher Young works again for director Jon Amiel, scoring his new film The Core. John Powell steps in and score big budget action thriller The Bourne Identity. James Newton Howard works on two supernatural thrillers, M Night Shyamalan's Signs and Lawrence Kasdan's Dreamcatcher. Mark Isham just scored Moonlight Mile and Joel McNeely has been hired to score The Jungle Book II.
Jerry Goldsmith has finally been confirmed as the composer on Star Trek: Nemesis. Alan Silvestri will score Robert Zemeckis' adventure Polar Express. And yes, Danny Elfman will score Red Dragon (the Silence of the Lambs prequel) - this is now confirmed by his agents.
On the trendy side, Craig Armstrong of Moulin Rouge fame scores Quiet American and David Holmes of Ocean's Eleven fame works on the music for George Clooney's directorial debut Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.

wait, Powell on Bourne? I thought ath Carter Burwell was supposed to be doing the score for this. Hey, I'm not complaining, It's gonna be nice to hear John's take on bond, uh Bourne.

    Interesting...

I was surprised to see Philip Glass on "The Hours." IMDB (such a reliable source) had both Michael Nyman and Stephen Warbeck listed to do this. I hope Glass provides something quite nice for the film as I especially like his score for "The Secret Agent."

I'm hoping Graeme Revell does a good job on "Daredevil," I was sort of hoping Chris Young or Shirley Walker might get a chance at this one. Revell is good...but other than "Titan A.E." none of his recent output has sparked my enthusiasm.

(And just to play devil's advocate...who is working with John Powell on Bourne Identity? He surely can't be doing a score all by himself...especially this late in the game as the film opens next month.)

    James

Interesting... I thought Dreamcatcher and Star Trek: Nemesis were both confirmed quite a while ago.

Weird, I read an interview with Burwell where he makes specific mention of prepping to score the Doug Liman film.

Final Destination 2? Wow... If it wasn't unintentionally funny enough the first time, do it again!
