Not to forget that if it's true, Varese are likely to release Great Train Robbery this year...

My guess on these would be that they are mostly from the 20th CF Fox films, as you already know, except for Tiomkin. Puzzled as to what that one is. Goldsmith will probably be either Seconds, Satan Bug or some other 20th Fox title not yet released, hopefully.Herrmann-a 1950s title?
Williams ?
Tiomkin- I have a feeling it might be Its a Wonderful Life or Duel in Sun.
Take care, see ya, J.

Actually I think it might be The Boys From Brazil.
Although both would be fine by me.

Somebody at FSM said that Lukas Kendall told him that Varese are going to release GTR. But perhaps FSM are doing Boys? Would be nice.quote:

The Sand Pebbles is a re-recording with Goldsmith and The RSNO.I must have missed the FSM message Marian.
Someone else at FSM had speculated that The Boys From Brazil would be next. Either way I'm happy.

Cimmerian, either of those would be great and two favorites of mine too. John.

I think some tracks from Khyber Rifles were included in one of Varese's Bernard Hermann at Fox volumes (sadly ended after the second volume). Not the complete score, but would it be worthwhile for FSM to rerelease this original material?I would be ecstatic, though, with White Witch Doctor.
And How to Steal a Million has always been one of my favorite movies. The Tsunami release is great, if only because it's all that's available. But I would buy an expanded FSM release within seconds of its announcement.

JClark, there was a third volume of the Bernard Herrmann at Fox series. It featured Anna and the King of Siam score. In fact, it may be listed as that in the catalog, but the cover art shows the series title.I don't know if it was complete but it was very nice.

ALIEN, folks, we want ALIEN! Not that the music-only tracks on the DVD weren't welcome, but I'd love to have a beautiful FSM release tailor-made for my CD player....And anything by Herrmann would be nice. And Williams. And Tiomkin.

And it suffers from the 'concert hall' sound, like most of the RSNO.
The worst of them being 'Patton / Tora! Tora! Tora!'.

Remember that if the title is 1978 or later, you will not likely see it as an FSM release this year so that rules out "Boys Of Brazil" or "Alien" for now. Ditto "Capricorn One" which could use a release of the film tracks.Right now, my hunch is that "How To Steal A Million" is the Williams title which would only be a natural considering that Williams' other two 60s Fox comedies got FSM treatment before.

In view of FSM's new association with MGM product, I'm hopeful that the Tiomkin title will be "36 Hours"

George--That was my guess as to what it might be. Seeing how Varese never managed to issue it on CD (they did on LP years earlier), it would be great to see it finally arrive.Anyone know when FSM is going to announce these?
