In Dreams is cool, I got that one in a sale recently. And I still say Sphere is his best.

    New today:

    • A.I. - 2CD Promo (John Williams)

    Thanks, Stefan!

Perhaps I'm just biased, but after only four tracks, it already seems to me to be a much better listening experience than the official album. My appreciation for this score is growing.

Mmm, OK Philip! But I mean...what's on it? Is that the Kenneth Alwyn (?) re-recording of BRIDE? And you say BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN and...FRANKENSTEIN? Eh?? Is that enough question marks???

It contains 5 tracks for the FRANKENSTEIN score by Guiseppe Becce and Bernhard Kaun. It also contains the score to BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, 13 tracks, by Franz Waxman. The disc is terrible. It has movie qoutations all over it, and I already sold it on ebay.

    Best Wishes

Call of the Champions ***/***** - quite good, especially the title track, but isn`t that one theme in American Journey the Harry`s Wondrous World theme?

Affair of the Necklace ***/***** - some great bits, but overall rather disjointed.

The Shipping News ****/***** - great theme, young is so versatile

The Mists of Avalon *****/***** - epic, gets even better with every listen

Philipp, I wonder where they got five tracks of music from the original FRANKENSTEIN. I don't remember any music in the film at all, except for the credits.

Here's a real treat which I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone: THE ROYAL PHILHARMONIC COLLECTION- CARL DAVIS, with themes and suites from his film and TV work (WORLD AT WAR, FRENCH LEFTIE'S WOMAN, CHAMPION, old silent NAPOLEON etc etc). All of it's good, but some of it is blinking brill, and I was very pleasantly surprised, cos the name "Carl Davis" never used to get me excited.

Thanks for those FRANKENSTEIN track titles, Philipp. It's very strange, those scenes weren't scored in the first place. Anyone clear up the mystery?
