This Indiana Jones-esque film starring Michelle Yeoh (of Tomorrow Never Dies fame) and Ben Chaplin(Lost Souls) will be scored by Basil Posedirus. Its a Hong Kong produced movie, with the cinematographer Peter Pau(Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon) Looking foward to it. Apparently the sequel is already in the works, so they really believe in the franchise.

Woohoo! Basil gets to score a film! And it's an action film to boot! He stays out of the limelight too often...

I was watching Quigley, Down Under the other night and even my tone deaf husband noticed the music. What is wrong with Hollywood? Basil composed two fabulous western scores with Quigley and Lonesome Dove and a stunning score with Conan. He has proven himself many times and should be consistently a lead composer for major films.

Damn! I've said Basil is the business so many times!

Why won't the powers that be give Basil the high profile film that this man so richly deserves?!

I'm not going to mention names but there are film composers out there who don't have a 10th of this mans abilities but are getting the choice scoring assignments.

Like Chris Young, of whom it seemed to take directors a lifetime to realise he was the real deal, it's about time Poledouris was given the dues he deserves!

Imagine Basil getting the scoring assignment for Indy 4.

(Spicy Ramen sighs, knowing that it will never happen )

Speaking of THE TOUCH, Basil's website has been updated with a little info on his score to this film....

Speaking of Poledouris, I notice a link to this place called "buysoundtrax.com." Is this a reputable business, or a scam factory, as from the layout of the place, it looks like Rookcity.

Buysoundtrax.com isn't a "scam". From what I know, it's a new online soundtrack retailer specializing in hard-to-find (legit) score releases, composer autographed CDs, the Prometheus releases, and other things.

    Wacky.

From the looks of most of the "exclusive" scores, this place must be run by Dantoris.

And Dan, just a question: if you don't know much about buysoundtrax.com, why pick them to link up to for Flesh & Blood? Why not, say......Super Collector or Screen Archives? Just wondering, off-hand.

I mean, from my standpoint, if I'm going to link up to a site that sells products, it's going to be one that I'm sure everyone's heard of, if for nothing else than to just eliminate the "are they
spelling "soundtracks" wrong on purpose?" (I guess moviemusic.com was taken.....) factor.

Because whereas Soundtrackmag.com is the official site for Prometheus Records, they don't do online ordering and so buysoundtrax.com is the official store for them. (At least, that's my understanding and interprestation.)

Sure, other places will sell the Prometheus stuff.... but if Basil put out an expanded ROBOCOP as a Varese Club Release (for example - don't read into it, I know nothing of one!), I would have linked to Varese Sarabande's website.

And hey - you can buy FLESH + BLOOD from any online store you want! I'm not stopping you from doing so... It's just that one link and one link only was gonna be used on Basil's site for users to buy the CD, and we went with the more "official" one. Dat's all.

The website has two sample tracks from the upcoming CD. It's great!!! Heck the website itself has some looped cue that sounds great. Kinda like Hans's or Klaus's stuff
I'd be buying the CD when it comes out.

    IMO...Michelle Yeoh looks great

Oh yeah, if you watch the two trailers and behind the scene EPK, you should hear Basil's music (unless it's not by Basil)
