....you see right in front of the door of [fill in store name here]'s.

The soundtrack offerings are exploding here in the MovieMusic store, from new and limited stuff to older releases on the verge of extinction.

A limited number of The Boy Who Could Fly soundtracks will be available within the next few days, as will a very very limited number of Broughton's Young Sherlock Holmes. These haven't been produced for massive distribution, much less very limited distribution, so keep your eyes peeled and act quickly.

The used store has a ton of soundtracks, with the offering soon exploding even more in the next few weeks. A lot of great stuff in there!

Specific titles added to the store in limited quantities that may interest some of you include Hatari!, Two for the Road, James Horner's solo-performed Class Action, Goldsmith's Mr. Baseball and Angie, perhaps Mark Isham's best score Of Mice and Men, Hans Zimmer's Drop Zone, Don Davis' The Beast and Graeme Revell's Street Fighter score.

If you might be interested in something new as far as style is concerned, I can easily recommend Joseph Vitarelli's Kissing a Fool. Several copies are available now for a great price. Vitarelli likes a certain kind of jazz music that has, in some instances, a Dave Brubeck feel. If you've heard his music for The Last Seduction, you know what I mean. It's good stuff, and a refreshing CD to play when you've knocked yourself out over and over with a powerhouse orchestral score.

I could go on, but there's even more stuff waiting to be added.

The owner of this bar is listening, so if you have issues, speak up.... Happy shopping!

I did forget to mention two CDs that may interest the lover of old-fashioned greatness:

Elmer Bernstein's "Music for the Films of Charles and Ray Eames" and "Bernstein by Bernstein" are now in the store. Both of these are great collections. Anyone have them and can vouch here?

    Peter,

I'm interested in ordering through money order. You just want me to print out the invoice and mail it in?

Actually, the public system only takes credit cards. Other payment can be worked out through me. It's pretty simple - send me an email with your full address and what you want and I'll send you back a total with shipping (and tax if required) along with the mailing address. Thanks, Spicy.

Dunno about the first, but "Bernstein by Bernstein" is good.
