City of Prague Symphony Orchestra to engage in most ambitious recording project ever. The orchestra is set to record the complete film music of Max Steiner, Bernard Herrmann, Dmitry Shostakovich and Morton Gould. The project's first phase, consisting of virtually all of Bernard Herrmann's film music has already been completed.

In the second phase, the orchestra will record the complete film music of Max Steiner. These Steiner recording sessions will take place in Prague over a period of two months during which some 300 hours of film music will be recorded in Prague's world famous prison-cell-turned-studio Smecky FHS Recording Facilities.
