Hey there, i was just wondering if there was a full score for Hans Zimmer's True Romance floating around out there somewhere? I recently was watching finding forrester on HBO, and was wondering if there was a full score for true romance, since the tracks that appear on the commercial release don't exactly match those used in Forrester. Is there a copy of romance floating around, or were the tracks used in forrester special arrangements? Thanks - Jon

Um. I saw Forester and I noticed that the piece was a result of the temp track. Hans Zimmer was not involved with the movie in anyway FYI. As for a True Romance complete CD, None. Unless someone whip out a cassete tape and make a recording of the Movie and sells it as such

Just like to point out that this is a criminally underrated film, and one that all fans of Tony Scott and/or Tarantino should see. It's not the best film in the world, but it's so cool.

Some great scenes and characters (Pitt's highlight role as the can't-get-off-his-ass stoner) make this a movie that stands proudly in my DVD collection.

While it's crappy that Zimmer's score isn't featured much on the soundtrack release, I don't think there was enough material to warrant a full score release. You've got the main theme, and the superb Black Rain-esque piece when Arquette gets the crap beat out of her; there isn't a whole lot in the film left off the CD (as far as I can remember!).

For the billionth time, Zimmer totally ripped off an old Orff piece that was used in Badlands (a film that Tarantino has no doubt seen). That's what the Forrester music is sounding like, not Zimmer.

IT's the same case of the SHREK/DEEP BLUE SEA debate. There's something resembling both score, but nothing to match them well. BAH!!! People and their opinions

You're right, the orff piece is much closer to the one used in Forrester, most notably the Timpanis that are so prominent in the Musica Poetica and Forrester are absent in You're so Cool. Zimmer really ripped-off Orff. Stilllike both tracks though.
