Does anyone know if there's going to be an album release for this video game score?

What I've heard is a single CD with 20 min of score from Allied Assault and music from Front Line. I've seen no mention of a release date though.

There will be NO release of the Allied Assualt score. However, there will be a complete score release of MEDAL OF HONOR: FRONTLINE in May or June. I'm still not sure whether this will be another Amazon.com exclusive or not. Paul Tonks is putting the final touches on the liner notes, I'm put the finishing touches on the FRONTLINE music video (which will be available on the MOH:F game), and the people at EA Games are putting the final touches on the CD artwork.Hope that helps!

128kbps, but still pretty good. Go into the main directory of Allied Assault on your PC, go to the music section and every cue is there as an MP3.Dan

Well, its going to sound as good as it did during the game Dan.Almost all PC games use MP3 compression for music in games. Processor speed and Graphic Processors have reached the point where on the fly decompression doesn't hurt the game.
I've only played the demo, but this is one I want to play and finish!

Personally, I don't really care, I much rather have as much of Frontline as possible. Though, it is definitely a curiosity.

One thing I'd like to say, in any case. While, I love the scores to MoH. It's about time they release some of Giacchino's other music. Small Soldiers and Semper Fi being just two examples.

I'm not sure why they are not releasing Allied Assualt but maybe its because there is only 20 minutes of score which is not enough music for an album release. I've tried to convince Giacchino to release a compilation disc featuring some of his unreleased music like Camden 2000, Small Soldiers, Semper Fi, Los Gringos, Redemption of the Ghost, Small Soldiers, Tai Fu and others but he's busy on Alias and his new film "Sin" to even think about that. But you are right, there is just too much good material composed by Giacchino that isn't available. Hopefully, with me redesigning his web site that we will be able to feature some of that rare material on the site. Stay tuned.Erik
