This is the traditional time when I usually post a whacking great list of titles that I picked up over the previous month and select one as CD of the Month. So, here goes:

MUSIC FOR 4 SCIENCE FICTION FILMS (Angelo Lavagnino)

    ....er, that's it. One CD.

NP: MISSION TO MARS (Ennio Morricone)

...4 Science Fiction Film that is, not Morricone's excellent Mission To Mars

I think the only new one I have is Princess Diaries score. Unless you also want to count Alan Jackson's Drive, and Weathered by Creed. That's about it.

It probably doesn't matter: Either way, it'll have to be the CD of the month.

Was looking for the Futurama DVDs, which of course haven't arrived here. But instead, I found:

    • Monsters, Inc. (Randy Newman) - The best of the full length Pixar movies? The best score for a Pixar feature? (And as if that wasn't enough, the movie is coupled with what is definitely the best of Pixar's shorts, too)

    NP: Monsters, Inc. (Randy Newman)

Hey Marian. I have Monsters too and really love it! It's one of Newman's best scores. Although I bought when I couldn't find American Journey or Black Hawk Down. That I'm not happy about.

Sort of. Very peculiar, really. There's some deeply atonal stuff in there, and some easy listening lounge music that makes Mantovani sound like Sid Vicious.

Oh, and here's an update. Nothing obtained so far, but I've just won GHOSTS OF MARS on auction. It's Carpenter, so there should be something good in there, but I don't really want it to end up as February's CD of the Month....
