It's out at the beginning of March but looks as if it contains little-to-none of Craig Armstrong's spectacular spectacular score...1. Meet Me In The Red Room 2. Your Song (Instrumental) 3. Show Must Go On 4. Bolero 5. Your Song 6. Like A Virgin 7. Sparkling Diamonds 8. One Day I'll Fly Away 9. Ascension/Nature Boy 10. Pitch 11. Come What May Great songs one and all, but where's the award-winning score? STEVE NP: 15 MINUTES - Marinelli (***/*****)

The score to this movie is boring. These are the parts of the score I have noticed in the film: Main Title arrangement (lots of non-original material here) Satine is sick music Satine is dying music End Credits For this one I'll say... bring on the songs! NP: The Musketeer (David Arnold)

Way to give away the ending there... And this is score isn't boring at all. It's a romantic drama. And I am really happy they're releasing Meet Me In The Red Room, that's was a cool song in the movie! However, I am disapointed by the lack of score. There wasn't even that much in it to begin with!Clayton

Thanks a lot Jonathan Little! I haven't even seen the film, and you mean to tell me there are end credits?!? Thanks for spoiling it, ya schmuck. NP- Cruel Intentions (John Ottman) [Message edited by Jeron on 01-29-2002]

Clayton, you know she's going to die at the beginning of the film, since our fine poet types it on his typewriter. ... and I'm so sorry, Jeron.

So much for Dan's "just wait for Volume 2 if you want the score" theory.Shaun

Well, it was initially more than just a theory: Anton Monsted, the music producer on the film, was the one who told me that the (and this is verbatim): quote: The album will be a mixture of cast tracks (Like a Virgin, The Show Must Go On, etc) and score (including the closing credits music), with a few remix tracks.
So.... I just post what I'm told..... It's a shame there's no score on the new release; I was looking forward to it. Dan
