While searching for Elliot Goldenthal's ballet to Othello, I came across the score to the 1995 movie starring Laurence Fishburne. I remember the trailers for this movie and looking for a soundtrack back then but I couldn't find one. I supposed Varese released it months after the opening of the film like they always do, but by that time I had forgot about it.
Anyway while searching for the ballet, I discovered the soundtrack a few days ago. It was composed by a man named Charlie More. After doing some research on the score, I found 4 reviews of the soundtrack. 2 At Amazon.com, 1 old review at Scorelougue and 1 at Score Land. All 4 reviewers rate the soundtrack pretty highly, the two Amazon customers both rated it 5 stars, Scorelogue rated it an "A" and a 9 of 10 rating at Score Land and one person here at MovieMusic.com rated it a 5/5.
If this score is so good then why has it never been mentioned?
Anyway I'm very curious about the score now and am 95% siked into buying it. (BTW its now OOP!) But I'm still not fully motivated, I would like to hear at least some of the music first. So my question is, can someone provide me with some audio clips or a few tracks?

by the way, the compsoer's name is Charlie Mole, not More.now that that's settled, the easiest thing for you to do, if you're interested int e score is to watch the movie. It's not bad, and the score fits it like a glove.
I haven't listened to it in a long time, but I think it ranks with the best of the Shakesperean scores. don't expect Doyle or anything.posted 01-12-2002 12:14 AM PT (US)

BEST SCORE EVER!(ok, maybe not)
But it's a very good one. It has about three themes. And other less thematic stuff.
There's a lot of strings. Ethnic instruments. A great song written by Mole (one of the characters sings it in the movie).
Not a lot of action, but all tracks are musically fulfilling, not just random underscore noise. 5 stars.Mole also did An Ideal Husband (released by RCA Victor a few years back).
He's written songs for Chaka Khan among others.
I lost the URL, but his management company had a webpage about him with lots of info.
If you go googling you'll probably find it.[Message edited by Dinko on 01-12-2002]
