Since nowadays all places arrange their own "Miss & Mr" Beauty Pageants -
here it is, the unofficial Pageant of (...drumroll...)

    !!!! MISS MOVIEMUSIC & MR MOVIEMUSIC !!!!

As it is with the authentic Pageants, we first have to select the nominees
    - so, NOW IS EVERYBODY'S CHANCE;
you all may brag about your best qualities and the reason WHY YOU should be selected as the Miss or Mr of MovieMusic dot Com !!
You can also nominate someone else if you feel so - but remember to tell WHY she/he should be nominated for the Pageant.

Naturally all nominees who have pictures of themselves on this site's "Profiles" have bigger chances for winning - BUT please don't forget the inner beauty, honesty, and last but not least - a vast knowledge in film music.

So, SEND IN THE NOMINEES !!

Thank you, Mark, but I can't be Miss MovieMusic because I'm married (which also means the witty, wonderful & wise Ms. Joan Hue can't be nominated either ).

So, I nominate our own Cine-Sin, Rochelle, to the title of Miss MovieMusic of 2002! She posts as much as Joan and I do and has beauty inside and out!!!

Sorry I couldn't nominate you, Jennie, but I don't know if you're married or not. All the other ladies I know in this fandom are either too silent here or else they frequent FSM or Filmtracks, so I don't think they qualify either, right?

Now there is the dilema of who to nominate for Mr. MovieMusic??? If a married woman can't hold the title, then is it fair for a married man to get it? And if that is true, as much as I would like to see you win, Peter, I think you should decline nomination too! I still love you though!

Well, Marian, speaking from some experience, I was actually a competitor in a few beauty pageants back in Ukraine, and I won two of them! They were all minor pageants though, I never tried for Miss Ukraine, LOL. As a rule with pageants, they are for single women only. There are pageants for married women but the titles for those are the equivalent of "Ms (whatever)" as on single women can be a "Miss." So I could compete in a "Ms MovieMusic" contest, which allows for both single and married women (AND men!, keep it equal, remember? ) but not the "Miss MovieMusic" than Ken called for. See?

Of course, you may have already known that! If you were referring to the "I still love you" to PeterK, it's because I dearly love all of my friends...don't you? I love you, Marian!

Until Jennie puts up a proper photo (not the one you posted of Quasimodo's half sister Jennie!! ) surely she cant be nominated. I mean I know we all like to say beauty is skin deep and all, but how many beauty pageants have there ever been where you have to vote on a contestant you've never even seen?

As for Mr. MovieMusic I would have to say Mr. Lux, wins by default. He is the only one that participated in the bathing suit competition.

And, of course, Mr. Congeniality should go to Crono/Kyp/Brian because everyone loves him.

Okay, I made a little blunder here, so let's change the Pageant from "Miss MovieMusic" to

    !! MS !! MOVIEMUSIC

(I just don't recall that our country's biggest beauty pageant "Miss Suomi" - Finland, that is - would have a rule like that.)

And, as for MR. MovieMusic - Mr. Peter Kelly IS the ORIGINAL, there can be no disagreeing on that one -
but I still think, after looking through some of the profiles here again, and by knowing some of the persons here a little bit closer,
that one of the nominations should go to
JERON (the incredible Drakkis-look-a-like -sorry about this, Jeron, but I HAD to say it here )
and to WEDGE, alias JOHN TAKIS, because of his great sense of humour.

But the REAL competition will be witnessed on all the beautiful and personal women of this board - although, without a doubt, there are some HOT favorites for the trio to be crowned.

But, as I said earlier, let's not forget the inner beauty and the knowledge in film music.

    Keep those nominations coming
    - and be bold; you are permitted to brag about yourselves !! (And don't forget the smile )

Ofcourse there will be a test, Gala !

    It's the traditional question, like
"What would you do to preserve the magic in film music?"
and the gal/guy answering with a Pepsodent-smile "Well, ummm, I would probably visit the studios and see the plumbing backstage..."
    - and the very same gal/guy usually to be CROWNED as the winner...

    So, don't worry.

I think there should be three questions.

    1. Who is the most influential Composer of the Film Score Genre?

    2. What constitutes a successful Film Score?

    And the most important one...

    3. What is the Airspeed Velocity of an Unladen Swallow?

And that usual winner gal/guy (- who LOOKS incredibly beautiful, sexy, sensual, etc, and smiles continuously -)
will indeed answer to these questions:

    1. "Wasn't that the one who died of influenza?"

    2. "Ummmmmmm...John Williams?"

    3. *smiles even bigger to reveal her/his gums, and flirts with the audience, and keeps quiet - and the audience applauds*

As someone who was born and raised in the great Hoosier state, I can be the judge of "how basketball is truly played."

I've been playing since before I could walk. That's because we're born with the b-ball in our hands (it's heck on the mom's and their labor pains though:-))

BTW Audacity, I know a few girls who could run circles around guys on the court.

    Uhm...
#1 is John Williams for having the talent and luck to grab the scoring rights to some of the biggest fan-generating films of all time. Subsquently then composing very exciting and emotional scores for said movies which are then purchased in larger quantity than any other filmscores in history, paving the way for others to become inspired to become composers themselves!

#2 Some would say that it is one that is never noticed, but I think that it should be noticed and help in the story-telling by prompting emotional responses that help to draw one in to the film and feel as if they are part of the events that are occurring all around their senses.

    #3 What...? African or European?

I can't believe I'm the first to do this as it is too obvious now that married women are in...
    I nominate JOAN HUE!!!

She is the grand lady here in the Filmscore Fandom sites. She is beautiful inside with a heart so compassionate and a tender soul who is always understanding of others that they are drawn to refer to her as "Mom!" She also demonstrates her knowledge and wisdom continuously throughout the hundreds (if not thousands) of topics throughout the last few years, and has brought insight to most of us, as well as temperance and tolerance to the sometimes heated conversations that happen here.

So...that's Joan, Rochelle, Jennie, and yours truly for the Ms. MovieMusic nominations...is there anyone else? If not, then we need to work on the guys. The problem is that there are too many great, wonderful gentlemen here...where to begin?

How kind you are, Kimi, to say such things. I’m embarrassed.

Believe me, I’m not all that kind and
have more than once gotten my middle aged panties in a bunch on the boards and
usually regretted it afterwards. I’d only run for MS. Middle-Aged- Movie.com. and
that’s only if it doesn’t include a swimming suit contest for..for..ah, yeah, they call
the swimming suit part a need to make sure one is physically fit and healthy. Yeah,
that’s a good one. Funny that those healthy young ladies who are flat chested and
big hipped just never seems to win. And sadly neither do the guys who don’t
    look like body builders. Unfair.

We’ve forgotten the truly important part of contests next to brains and that is
talent. And given that our own dear Shaun R. is a professional Chippendale
dancer, he just may have a chance. So what are the talents of those of you
on this board? Sigh, I wish I had one.

Isn't that photo absolutely great!?! It's almost enough to nominate him, isn't it? It definately makes him worthy of nomination.

My first nomination for "Mr. MovieMusic" however has got to be....
    MARIAN!!!
Marian, who is one of the absolute sweetest guys ever, is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to provide information to anyone in need. He also has a charming wit and has the ability to cheer us up almost ever day. The biggest qualification here however, is that Marian has done more posts here than any other member. Granted, I haven't checked everyone, but those people who post here every day know whose names are always here. There are a few guys with posts in the one-thousand several hundreds to the 2000's, but Marian's number of posts is almost at 6000!!! That, alone, makes him a strong canidate for the position!

    Hi Marian!!!
