I'm actually interested in seeing this film because of the two main stars...but on a moviemusic note...who is scoring the film?

I've been too lazy to research it and can't recall seeing a composer's name on the poster or preview.

I know one of you will know this!

I haven't even heard about the film yet. Who are the two actors you made mention of?

Ah, Guy Pearce (L.A. Confidential) and James Caviezel (Frequency). And the music is by Edward Shearmur (Charlie's Angels, Cruel Intentions, Species II, Miss Congeniality) to name a few.

Ed talked about THE COUNT OF MONTE CRIST in the interview I did with him back in August. (The film was originally due to come out in September.)

He said that there will be a score release, so keep an eye out for it. It's a pretty fun swashbuckly score!

Excellent! Both movie and score sound very promising. Is this a Spring-release?

    Hehe...

Originally set for an end of 2001 release date, looks like Kevin and co took the ramblings of the test screenings to heart.

For those interested, people said the film was lame and score was bad too....who knows....

Most of the great scenery you see in the trailer was shot in Malta!

JoBlo's review of the film was fairly favorable...sounds like some good, escapist fun.

I am particularly glad that this wasn't yet another 2.5-3hour period piece...at under two hours it should move along fairly briskly.

    Jeron asked me thus:

why do you say that JJ?

    and I reply:

because I see myself as some kind of provocateur. Yes, I must be different and go against the flow for no reason other than to stir up **** .

I'm actually with JJ on this one, and not because I'm a provocateur or whatever, but because come on, Kevin Reynolds directed it.
