I'm very interested in hearing what they come up....and now I open the door to all MV-detractors to laden this thread with yet another narrow-minded take of music they have never heard...chime away folks!

Suprisingly there hasn't been much publicity with Zimmer's score to Black Hawk Down compared to his earlier releases like Pearl Harbor( Which was hated by the board, but liked by me) and Hannibal( First listen- Ooohh! Second impression- Eh....). I hope they get a full score release on this one be it 2 cds (when was the last time we had a double cd soundtrack?!)

DECCA seems to be the Hans Zimmer label now. It's all good, considering how we'll get a good release of music in the 50 minute range.

Lisa Gerrard is writting some score?? Her stuff for Gladiator (God forbid) sucked. I am tired of hearing Gerrard ruin all of Zimmer's beautiful work by moaning like she's just taken a blow to the head with a battle ax! And I have been very ready for Zimmer to put the boot to that that singer!

But despite all that I am looking forward to it and hope that the score gets a good release.

Matt, Gerrard is probably involved on account of the Ridley Scott factor. That seems to be the common thread.

Rehash of the rehash... that would sound like Horner.

Though I am too angry like you John with the presence of Gerrard, I still think her stuff in Gladiator was wonderful.

True. M:I2 was good too but it's not as much as Gladiator.

I liked Gerrard's vocals on GLADIATOR. To me, it was like Maximus' wife was crying out to him. That's the impression I got, anyways.

About BHD, I'm interested to see how that might fit in. It should be interesting, though. I have high hopes for this score....and I'm sure I won't be disappointed like I was with "A BEAUTIFUL MIND OF A BICENTENNIAL MAN." Ugh....whatever.

Ok let me clarify this. I don't like the stuff that she Composed such as track two not very listenable. I do like some of the parts in Gladiator with her vocals (particualerly track 15, 16, and 17) Also her performances in MI:2 were good.

I agree, Jz....I liked her moaning OVER Zimmer's music....he he he he.

And yes, MI:2 was cool....my favorite tracks are "Seville" and "Nyah & Ethan".

Rumor is that thus far, Lisa Gerrard has made no contribution to this film. Thought you'd like to know...
