Tree-mendous. Thanks. For your fine work in this endeavor I award you the Gold star with happy face attached. The happy face is Jonathan Little's version, blue with the rolling eyes. Take care, John.

Interesting that Bernstein doesn't listen to film music but prefers opera...Does that make him the kind of snob we often bitch about here?

Richard Band also says he doesn't listen to film music, and he's certainly not too high on the totem pole of film composers. Well, If you look again you'll see that you've mis-read his quote there Lou. He didn't say "I dont listen to film-music"...he said
"I don’t just listen to movie scores, of course. I saw the L.A. Opera’s Lohengrin, and thought it was just fine, really well staged and performed."I just couldn't have believed that Mr. Bernstein didn't listen to film music, either past or present!!

[Q: Any favorite among those 200 film and television scores?]
Oh, Mockingbird, I guess. It’s such fun to listen to, even if I did write it. I don’t just listen to movie scores, of course. I saw the L.A. Opera’s Lohengrin, and thought it was just fine, really well staged and performed.

She was in Age of Innocence (which relates). She was also in the unrelated Edward Scissorhands, Little Women, Lost Souls and Looking For Richard. Wanna guess?
