Can anyone tell me if the Rudy suite on the Telarc album is the same suite (6 movements) that was premiered in London?

    Big thanks to stefancos!!

I saw Alfred Newman's score to The Robe yesterday for $5, and I'm thinking about going back to get it, but I guess my question is...
    is it worth getting?

a bit late here, but The Robe is DEFINITELY worth getting!

it has several glorious moments. But my favorite track is "The Slave Market," an introspective sort of music.

NP -- How To Marry a Millionaire, Newman/ Mockridge

It's still November. Here's what I got today:

    Bought:

    • Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (DVD)
    • Edvard Grieg: Peer Gynt / Sigurd Jorsalfar (Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Neeme Järvi) - First recording of the authentic versions, not just the suites

With thanks to Sean (on Her Majesty's Service):

    • Suites and Themes (LSO, Jerry Goldsmith)
    • Starship Troopers, expanded (Basil Poledouris)
    • Heavy Metal (Elmer Bernstein)
    • The Sea Hawk (Erich Wolfgang Korngold, original recording)

    With thanks to Timmer:

    • Tess / Lord of the Flies (Philippe Sarde)
    • Symphonic Fantasia / Symphonic Ode: Gotama The Buddha (Tokyo Oratorio Kyokai, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Kazuhiko Komatsu)
    • Mythodea (Vangelis)
    • Pat Metheny Group (no idea what this is, but I'll soon find out )
    • Alan Hovhaness: Symphony No. 50 "Mount St. Helens"; Ralph Vaughan Williams: Concerto for oboe and strings (David Theodore, LSO, Bryden Thomson)

I hope I manage to listen to all of these before I see FOTR!
