This poll may have been slightly difficult to answer if any diversity had been put in it. Now I would have had a much harder time logging in my answer if two of the choices had been
1.) The Prince of Egypt-AMAZING soundtrack all around. Just astounding! ( When you Believe, movie version of course, no cheapin' out with the mariah carey whitney houston version, granted that was good thingbut nothing beats adding in the hebrew)

2.) The Nightmare Before Christmas- Completley original, nevver before done songs with witty lyrics and thought out instrumental parts. Bravo!!!

Alright then! Now I've put in my two cents. I'm not sayin' this should be anyone elses opinion and will be quite upset if I get personally attacked for my message. You may get a good finger shaking and many tsk tsk's. So just keep that in mind young men and women!!! ^_~

I didn't care all that much for Prince of Egypt, but granted, The Nightmare Before Christmas is everything you said and more, one of Danny Elfman's finest efforts to date. In fact, the songs in this film are so good, they could favorably compare to almost any screen musical from the 1950s or 1960s. That's not an exaggerateion. Nightmare is show stealing fun and what could be a better score to listen to in these days?

The Prince of Egypt - AMAZING movie, an EVOCATIVE score & songs, but truly one ANNOYING "original" soundtrack release.

The Nightmare Before Christmas - simply MAGNIFICENT, both movie, songs and score, AND the soundtrack !!!

Nightmare Before Christmas has some of the most memorable songs ever. I know each one by heart.

On the top of my favorite movies by the way.

And remember, "I AM The Pumpkin King!"

I'm listening to Nightmare Before Christmas right now, and it's still a real charmer. Top notch. And Patrick Stewart is a darn good narrator. One wishes almost he'd have narrated the whole thing through.

By the way, this is a movie I'd like to get on DVD. Is there a region 2 release and if so, can it be safely bought? Any DVD specialists here who might know?
