I think that's all of them, Marcelo, but I could be wrong. By the way, I was disappointed in these. Nobody has been able to capture the Hammer sound really authentically in re-recordings. Go for the originals on GDI I would say!

Indeed Graham, I have the GDI releases.
The Devil Rides Out disk has the cue
Christina from Frankenstein Created Woman, with a second part not used in the movie,
and I think never released before.
I think they should release ann frankenstein movies in diferent CD's instead of one CD compilation.
Also, Brides of Dracula and The Gorgon would make a great release.
    I'm a Hammercholic I guess...

Yes Marcelo, but the one we would all give our eye-teeth or right legs or left eyes for would be (Horror Of) Dracula, the original tracks. But it seems that's not possible.

I have the following suites on various compilation albums:-

    SUITES
    (Horror of)Dracula
Dracula has Risen from the Grave
    Taste the Blood of Dracula
    Hands of the Ripper
    Vampire Circus
    Fear in the Night
    She
    Dr. Jekyl and Sister Hide
    The Vampire Lovers

    Complete CD:
Frankenstein (includes 'Curse of...' 'Revenge..''Evil of...' 'Frankenstein Must be Destroyed' 'Horror of...' etc

Most of the 'suites' are on LP so I'm just in the process of transferring them to CD.
I'll have to buy more of these GDI releases. I'd love to get David Whittaker's 'Twins of Evil'. Its a film and score I have fond memories of watching as a teenager (noyhing to do with the two gorgeous scantilly clad leads of course )

Gae, David Whitaker's Twins Of Evil?

And Marcelo, I haven't heard officially that the master tapes for Horror Of Dracula are lost, I was just assuming that this is the case since it hasn't been released yet. And that's the granddaddy of them all!

The only Silva CD of Hammer music that I have is called "Music From The Hammer Films". Conducted by Neil Richardson and supervised by Philip Martell, it features "The Dracula Suite" (James Bernard, 12:34), "Hands Of The Ripper" (Christopher Gunning, 10:33), "Dracula Has Risen From The Grave" (James Bernard, 5:24), "Vampire Circus" (David Whitaker, 9:15), and "Taste The Blood Of Dracula" (James Bernard, 17:15).

That CD which includes suites from Fear In The Night, The Vampire Lovers, She, and Doc Jekyll And Sister Hyde was originally the B side of the first LP I ever bought, back in about 1974 or something. Side A had Christopher Lee doing a Draculaesque story, with a score culled mostly (I think) from Scars Of Dracula.

The four suites are brilliant. They are "re-recordings" (compare the differences between The Vampire Lovers here and GDI's original), but under the baton of Philip Martell. Perfection, something that can't be said for the other Hammer re-recordings, unfortunately. All in my humble opinion, of course.

Gae, Graham, Marcelo, Chris?...so where are those other 'Hammer Heads' Stephen and Matt?

OOOhhh you take me back Graham, I remember listening to that and wishing that side A was just music (though it is enjoyable ).

Speaking of the GDI label, Just where is all those juicy items still mentioned on 'music from the movies' web site, I don't think anything has been released by them since their beautiful SHE by James Bernard (which includes the lesser effort by Mario Nascimbene which to be fair does have some nice moments!)...when are these happening?

Thanks Gae, I'll try to get that CD.

    ------------

    Harry Robertson AKA Harry Robertson.
    The master itself speacks!!!:

-"I'd done a few things for Decca and when the check finally arrived it was made out to
    Harry Robinson rather than Robertson.
Because I was living more or less from hand-to-mouth at that time funds where very short.
I decided rather than send the check back and explain to the record company that they had got it wrong I would become aka Robinson.
I'm glad I did because Decca has also credited me as Harry Robinson on the actual record"-
