Well, it was better than I thought. Mark Snow's score was cool. THere was a scene with Lana Lang in the cemetery where the music just shines... I'll see this show again.

Yeah... wasn't too bad, despite the rifts the storytellers are making in the Superman mythos. Clark Kent as a flashy teen icon... how much more "WB" can you get? But hey, I'll see it again... and Mark Snow's contribution was good.

Does anyone know if they will be re-running the episode anytime soon? I have to work all day and night on Tuesdays and I missed it.

I didn't like the show at all, because they really messed up Supermans origin.

Yeah, but it's not like they didn't screw it up before.....

Consider this a (ahem) "reimagining" of the Superman legend. hahaha.

How many times has DC comic killed Superman? Does Batman exist in the same universe with Superman or not? In Lois and Clark, Lex Luthor is an industrial billionaire. In the features, Luthor is a reclusive criminal.

Ok...someone hit it on the head when they said "mythos". Myths are subject to re-interpretation. Liberties can be taken in a making a fresh approach to a common subject matter...Several liberties were taken, for example, in the Batman stories, movies--there's a different origin for every artist who approaches the concept. When good stories are told and told again, they change just a little bit every time to reflect the values of the time in which they are told.

Oh, this is my way of saying that the show was pretty good. This from a big Superman fan.

Lancelot is right. "Superman" has entered into popular mythology, and myths are reinvented constantly.

I still think Superman IV is the best.

On the premier, did anyone else watching notice that near the end it "blipped" sometimes, missing some scenes? I recorded it and didn't actuall y watch it when it was on, I am hoping my VCR itself didnt' screw up. I didn't even get the ending!! What happened at the football game??

In Cincinnati, it's pre-empted with a college football game, but I know that I've seem commercials advertising an encore showing Saturday (or was it Sunday?) from 2 to 4 (or was it 4 to 6 PM?). In any event, keep your eyes on your local UPN this weekend afternoons!
