    Folks,

I just sent an e-mail to Crono/Kyp saying I didn't have any info on the track listings for Harry Potter, until I go to countingdown.com and find this info they recieved from comingsoon.net

The validity of this track listing is still highly suspect and does contain spoilers, so be very careful should you decide to read on.

    01. Prologue
    02. Harry's Wondrous World
    03. The Arrival of Baby Harry
    04. Visit to the Zoo and Letters from Hogwarts
    05. Diagon Alley and The Gringotts Vault
    06. Platform Nine-and-Three-Quarters and The Journey to Hogwarts
    07. Entry into the Great Hall and The Banquet
    08. Mr. Longbottom Flies
    09. Hogwarts Forever! and The Moving Stairs
    10. The Norwegian Ridgeback and A Change of Season
    11. The Quidditch Match
    12. Christmas at Hogwarts
    13. The Invisibility Cloak and The Library Scene
    14. Fluffy's Harp
    15. In the Devil's Snare and The Flying Keys
    16. The Chess Game
    17. The Face of Voldemort
    18. Leaving Hogwarts
    19. Hedwig's Theme

    Enjoy!

Some of the track titles sound very much like Williams, some others don't. We'll see.

If they're true, most of the unrelease music is from the middle of the film, or the finale takes up a much larger part of the full thing than in the book. But generally, this looks good to me, and has me waiting even more for the film.

Oh, and if these are the real titles, "Leaving Hogwarts" proves that this will be a Hook-type score!

I have to wonder how many of these are taken completely out of the film's/story's context and arranged in concert suites combining excerpts from the beginning of the movie with pieces from the end of the movie.

Amazon.com also has the track list. You'll notice that "Harry's Wonderful World" has been moved to Track 18. I can't WAIT to hear this score, incomplete as it may be! It sounds like Williams is giving us all the "event" cues that kids can attach meaning and action to. Most of the unreleased stuff is probably for scenes of exposition or minor events. In one sense that's good, because we'll get the most "important" music. On the other hand, Williams' pure action cues tend to become formula. It's the lower-scale intimate stuff where he does some of his most creative and subtle thematic work. Anyway, here's the (probably more accurate) track list:

    1. Prologue
    2. The Arrival of Baby Harry
    3. Visit to the Zoo and Letters from Hogwarts
    4. Diagon Alley and The Gringotts Vault
    5. Platform Nine-and-Three-Quarters and The Journey to Hogwarts
    6. Entry into the Great Hall and The Banquet
    7. Mr. Longbottom Flies
    8. Hogwarts Forever! and The Moving Stairs
    9. The Norwegian Ridgeback and A Change of Season
    10. The Quidditch Match
    11. Christmas at Hogwarts
    12. The Invisibility Cloak and The Library Scene
    13. Fluffy's Harp
    14. In the Devil's Snare and The Flying Keys
    15. The Chess Game
    16. The Face of Voldemort
    17. Leaving Hogwarts
    18. Harry's Wondrous World
    19. Hedwig's Theme
