According to our local one-stop, this title doesn't come out until next week. Beyond only released two new titles this week. Candyman 3 and their Pure Horror compilation. I, for one, am looking forward to Wishmaster 2 as it is the first album release of any music from David Williams, a terrific composer who has been quietly writing great music for schlocky films like this. BTW, does anyone know if there is a website for Beyond Records? Can anyone post a tracklisting for the Pure Horror compilation?[Message edited by BMikeJ on 10-03-2001]

Does this explain why I couldn't fine Soul Survivors which was also due Tuesday?

More information is coming very soon to this web site. Beyond's website (beyondmusic.com) stinks to high heaven. TimT, yes, most probably so.

I first saw "Wishmaster 2" one night on HBO. Talk about schlocky. Nowhere near the guilty pleasure value of the original, and the wishes were...not too good. There's one really awful one; you'll know it when you hear it. David Williams' score was OK; nothing I wanna rush right out and get, though. It's nice that there's a label that's helping to expose unknown composers to the public at large. Would that Beyond would give a leg up to:
Udi Harpaz
Amotz Plessner
Louis Febre
Julian NottI agree with you about their website. I bet that I could get more useful info from Chapter XI...er, III's site.
I almost forgot: there are sound clips and track listings of "Wishmaster 2" and "Candyman 3" at CDNow.

Okely dokely, these titles actually were released on Tuesday; they just took an extra day to show up here. Find all the info you need on them at this website, sans sound clips. If anyone is interested in these soundtracks yet suffers the limitations of a tight budget, buy the "Pure Horror" comp first, as it's a short sampler of the others.SBD, as for releasing more by unknown (or less "popular") composers, Beyond has on slate a bunch of 70s blaxploitation soundtracks for December, if you can believe it, including music by Galt MacDermot (of Hair fame), Harry Betts (of Cheech & Chong's Nice Dreams fame) and Luchi De Jesus (of "Bionic Woman" fame).
I am very excited about these, even though I have no clue what music will be included at this point. In the same vein, Beyond is also releasing The Call Me Mr. Tibbs, Across 110th Street and In the Heat of the Night, all previously issued on CD by Ryko. This whole series is called the "Soul Cinema" series.... Oh yeah, brutha. My day would be complete if someone would issue a cool soundtrack CD of Rudy Ray Moore's Dolemite.
