Some new info on these scores. At least for the few swedes who are scanning these boards...Lord Of The Rings and Harry Potter score will be released the same day here: 19th November. And Harry Potter will be 2CD.
Check for youselves: www.ginza.se Hit "Nyheter" then there's the info on the right..

I find the notion of a 2-CD Harry Potter score rlease highly unlikely. It's possible, however, that the second CD is a "bonus" CD of related material like "songs inspired by" or a computer-game demo or an audio-book sampler or something like that.

Well, I second that. I would be shocked if Harry Potter comes out on two cds, although I would be naturally delighted. So, I hope you are right. As long as it is scores and songs from the film and not some lame disk the sort we got thrown at with the Star Trek special edition version.

I'll be damned, it's right. It might be one disc like the US pressing and disc 2 might be interviews or something.--Brian

The way I read that, it could also be "Harry Potter 2 (CD release)". As in, Harry Potter - The Sequel.

Hey, Dan---I recently read a story about that Micro Machines guy making a comeback, but he never mentioned how. Maybe THIS is the mystery project!

In this age of "I was the first to announce the news", I'm sorry if this is old news:
The second CD will be a CDROM which will include:quote:
From www.HMV.com
CD-ROM Contents:
1. Electronic Arts Harry Potter video game preview
2. Lego video game preview
3. Foreign Film Trailer Samplers
4. Harry Potter Poster Gallery (3 film posters can be printed out in colour)
5. Desktop Wallpaper
6. Link to www.harrypotter.com
Since HMV's website is not made to provide direct links, and pages don't even register in my history window, if you want to see the page, you'll have to go to http://www.hmv.com and search for Title: Harry Potter.

That for the international release or the US as well? I hope the US one dosen't have any "enhanced" crap on it, that would take away from music time. But it's Atlantic, so you never know.

If you check the European Amazon sites, the Harry Potter cover says "Music From And Inspired By" whereas the American release simply says "Original Motion Picture Soundtrack." I'm 99% sure the first disc is Williams' score -- the same as will be released in the U.S. -- and disc two is music "inspired by." Looks like you poor European folks are going to be forced to by both.

The CDR listing is the one from the Canadian release, but since Canadian releases are 99% of the time identical to the US releases (which is normal since about half of them were imported by the Canadian labels from their American cousins), I guess the HMV listing applies to the US release too.
