Based on the smattering of responses to reports of Good Omens being translated into film, I suppose there's a handful of you out there who have read this book, or its' equally worthy graphic novel counterpart?

    20 INPUT $
30 IF $="NO" THEN RETURN TO "GENERAL TOPICS"
    40 IF $="YES" THEN GOTO 50

(Geez, it's been so long since the era of Basic and the reign of the TRS-80....)

But if you have, then you must be familiar with the amazing ethereal fantasy realm that Neil Gaiman has constructed, too surreal for Jules Verne, almost too modern for C.S. Lewis....

I am recently revisiting the novel, and think that under proper handling, it might do well as a film, animated or otherwise....for some reason, it senses of the old days of Jim Henson's "The Storyteller". (Main theme by Rachel Portman)

So, herein I present to you a thinking topic, for you readers and graphic novel afficianados. Would of you suggest any such appropriate music to accompany the novel "Stardust", and should that of you who appreciate text-to-film translations care to hypothesize an appropriate composer for any such venture?

Post supplement: A few years ago, David Arkenstone...yeah Robot Wars...released an album, Another Star in the Sky, that feels somewhat appropriate for accompaniment...

Post-post supplement: Trivia - Robot Wars was dedicated to Jerry Goldsmith.

Looks like a Syntax Error to me. At least every Basic that I used didn't accept "$" as a variable name, but just interpreted it as a suffix that marked a variable as a string variable:

    20 INPUT A$
30 IF A$="NO" THEN RETURN TO "GENERAL TOPICS"
    40 IF A$="YES" THEN GOTO 50

Of course, as long as there isn't anything between lines 40 and 50, you can skip line 40. Anyway, I'm afraid I have to execute the RETURN statement in #30.
