So, did anyone buy it yet? Any thoughts?

My copy won't arrive for ages, since it's part of a pre-order with the new Omen CD's.

I love it. The thing i don't get is, it's only another 30 minute release. Yet, it lists the musicians names. Now I thought the reason to put the musicians name in the booklet is to get longer score releases. If so, how long was it going to be, 25 minutes? I guess they decided, "hey, lets put the musicins names in there so when can throw in the Childern Of The Corn track".

    =(

I asked the same question, about The Glass House. And It seems that just because the label can release more, they don't because the composer feels that this 30 mins is the best cues that he wrote for the score, and the cues left off he may not be to fond of.

So I guess its more of an album instead of a "real film soundtrack".

I saw this movie tonight. Stretches credibility and has its flaws, but it scared me several times. I literally jumped in my seat, and the music plays a strong part in the fear factor. He did an excellent job of writing extremely scary and tense music.

In the case of Joy Ride, Beltrami is a bit notorious for not putting out the full score, just what is listenable apart from the film. That is why there is little of that wild horror music on Scream, the album focuses on the more melodic cues. Not sure how Joy Ride is, but it's probably the same type of deal.

Young also follows this to a certain extent, if you look at the flow of his albums.
Varese probably has the musician list deal on all AFM/LA scores.

NP:Platnium(Mike Oldfield)Pretty nice so far, although I could do without the vocals. This albums was produced by Tom Newman in 1979...could it be the same?
