    Ohboy!Ohboy!Ohboy! I can't wait!

(Although as a Christian, I sometimes feel guilty for listening to the first score.)

I don't see Len Engle's name ANYWHERE on the back cover of The Final Conflict. I'm sure Michael McDonald has done a much better job than old Lenny did.

    Fantastic news!

I sure hope he has. But with only two additional tracks, I think it's clear that better sound quality was imperative to them. Though, if I read it correctly (the scan is so small), the two tracks add up to TWELVE minutes!?

Also note that the "The Last Chapter in the Omen Trilogy" text is gone. But I liked the color version of Sam Neill's cover image better than the new one.

Yeah, these covers mirror the new DVD artwork, which I didn't like. (Especially the new OMEN artwork.. ugh....)

    Track 6 - "The Statue" (4:11)
    Track 12 - "666" (3:00)

BUT it looks like they added several minutes to the finale. "The Final Conflict" ran 3:40 on the original release. This version is either 5:32, 6:32 or 8:32 -- I can't tell. (I'm hoping for the latter, of course. )

Well, I think it says 8:32.

I'm more interested in FINAL CONFLICT than THE OMEN, because I don't have the standard release of CONFLICT. However, there seems to be enough new music on OMEN to justify picking it up and tossing the old version.

Well, it looks as though Brad's EXCELLENT iso score transfer won't be hitting the trash after all.

Has there EVER been an official release of something we've had as a boot that has made the boot TOTALLY obselete?

    Shaun,

I can only think of these off the top of my head:

    Twilight Zone: The Movie
    Poseidon Adventure
    Towering Inferno

Some people would probably argue about the latter two, however.

Varese's Total Recall had everything that the boot had didn't it? I just sold my old Omen and sent back the copy of The Final Conflict that just ordered.

For completists' sake, it was missing a veddy, veddy short unused cue ("The Johnnycab") and the end title cue, which was essentially an edit with a neat little link. No big deal, I guess.
