No! Because now it sounds like it's a genuine Enya song, and I doubt that'll fit. Reminds me of how Peter Jackson spoiled the end of The Frighteners by adding a stupid song - and that after a truly great film.

The song at the end of "Frighteners" is good. I'm sure that Enya song will fit at the end of FOTR. Don't be so negative.posted 09-30-2001 03:16 AM PT (US)

There's a reason for end credit music. A song may be good in it's own right and yet spoil the end of a film. During the end credits, the people who don't leave the theater at once listen to the music and recapitulate the film. Something like the Star Wars end credits helps immensely in that matter. An inappropriate song (even if it's a good song) ruins that. That's not to say that all songs are inappropriate, but most of the time, most songs are.For example, I didn't have any problems with the song in Chicken Run. But when it popped the second the end credits started, it took something away from the film. Yes, the score returned after the song for the rest of the end credits. But by then, it was too late.

Furthermore, the song will certainly be included on the CD, and thus take away from the amount of score being released.NP: The Score (Howard Shore)

Depends on how much of the film will have music. Theoretically, Shore could go for a wall-to-wall score that runs 2:45.

It's a little eerie the way our minds keep going in the same direction.

Jeron, don't you remember that old song where some diva was yelling "Music is my life"?If a musical presentation is not as good as one hopes it to be, it is quite easy to have trouble sleeping.
