What do the scores of the films 'ET' and 'Star Wars' have in common?

I'll be checking back to drop hints etc.

This is always fun. Here's one I asked a while back:

What do the scores for "The Goonies," "Supergirl" and "Quest for Camelot" have in common?

What is the shortest time a composer has had to write and record a score for a film (many will argue this point)? We're looking for the name of the score, the name of the composer, and the time with which the writing and recording had to take place.

I heard six days, composing and recording for Michael Kamen's WHAT DREAMS MAY COME per Soundtrack Magazine interview w/ the composer....or Dave Newman's I LOVE TROUBLE...ten days, using Alan Silvestri and a million other orchestrators.

How long did Air Force One take wasn't it like a week and a half? (This is not a trivia question) Tomb Raider took ten Days I belive.

So, what previous Williams theme is heard in Phantom Menace? It's no Star Wars theme, and not even really a recurring theme, but just a bit of melody that appeared in a much earlier score.

    that's such a crappy question.....no offense intended, M.S...

i mean...if it were *intentional*, that's one thing....but calling out a fragment of a snippet of some score Williams wrote 20 years ago because it follows the same chord structure and saying "it makes an appearance"....really....

    Yoda's theme was blatantly obvious.

sorry...i'm slightly exhausted....i'm all of one paragraph away from the end of an emotionally difficult term paper, here, and i'm being combative, somewhat...please don't take it personally...

Rang is right, and I didn't say it was intentional. But it's clearly the same notes, not just close or something.

The question was still crappy though - because it appeared in every incarnation of the Trivia thread we had on this board so far.

    that, too....

we need something like the Kevin Bacon Game, except with film composers....like "who can name more composers that scored film that both cuba gooding jr. and sam neill were in..." or some such similarity...

OK, in the last half of track 8 on Danny Elfman's Planet of the Apes CD...what previous Elfman score's theme appears very briefly (and it's brief couple second appearence is nailed right down to the kind of violin playing in that score)?
