We love MTV.The CD label for "FOTR" is:
Warner Bros Records.
Strange, wonder why New Line is not doing it, maybe there is a pop sone and they are going with the label that artist is with(like all the new Bond CDs)

Stay with me here:
New Line Records = A Division of New Line Cinema
New Line Cinema = A Time-Warner-AOL Company
Warner Bros. Records = A Time-Warner-AOL Company
So it's still "in the family"; just not a NLR release.

I had a class called "Mess Media in America" an American Studies class at my community college, one unit in the class was about the ownership of companies, it's all kind of scary, and they call Microsoft a monopoly, yeah right.--Brian

Warner Bros. is like any other massive organization... like Pepsi, whose subsidaries are Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC, etc. No different.

ScottCorrect me if I'm wrong, but from what I remember, Pepsi still kept some important shares of TriCon Restaurants or whatever the name of the new company was.

HA! WRONG! (I think)
I believe somewhere under the New Line logo it says
"An AOL-TIME WARNER Company", just like CNN.
So it's not a Time Warner-AOL Company.

Marian...Nice choise of music there! Not that I listen too much of Sibelius, but itīs nice to see that someone is listening music composed by a Finnish composer. Reason for this being is that im Finnish
And for this LOTR soundtrack matter...I donīt really care which company releases it as long as it good quality and long in duration

Something similar to this happened with Lethal Weapon 3- the poster said Warner Bros. Records for the soundtrack, but its release ended up on Reprise. At least we've narrowed it down to the subsidiary company. It's still 3 months and 9 days to the film, if it still opens on December 19th- these things tend to work themselves out in time.

Wasn't Reprise started by Randy Newman? Or am I being silly?
