    Well, well,

I had to awesome weeks in Albany, NY, and got back home last night. Although I had the opportunity to look in on the board once in a while, it wasn't as much as I would have liked. While I am glad to be back on the board, it is a bitter sweet occassion. Some of you know that I went to NY to meet my brothers for the very first time. What an experience. They are true blessings. I couldn't be prouder and more honored, even blessed to have three such amazing human beings as brothers. It was as if I knew them all my life, and perhaps in a spiritual sense I have.

Well, I didn't post this topic on the simple basis of sharing my incredible, humbling experience; for there is a reason for the maddness. I do know that some of you will actually be quite responsive to this for you know my history in this matter and I just love sharing with you guys. What can I say.

The main reason here is actually very musical in nature. My 15 year old brother is a percussionaist (and quite good if I may say so myself), while my 18 year old bro is a modern Leornado Da Vinci (gosh he can draw like the gods themesleves), and then there is my 12 year old buddy.... a drummer quite himself and just simply a joy. Well, since percussions are really in their blood, I need to get as many percussion driven scores as I possibly can. Now I already have plantet of the apes, but any further suggestions would be deeply appreciated.
To my two sis', you two are fantastic and I love you to death, (not literally of course..hhehe)

Oh yeah and two my two buddies who are like brothers...one starts with a S and the other with a D (you know who you are), greater friends one could not ask for. Miss you two.

And since my bros visit this place, let me just tell you three that you are the greatest and I miss you already so much. Love you guys.

    Scott

Dennis Sands mixed the drums "way up front" in Richard Marvin's U-571. It drives me nuts but might please percussionists.

There's a lot of percussion in Arthur Kempel's DOUBLE IMPACT score (it was on Silva; I don't know about its current availability).

    I'm glad you concur, John.

Scott, might I also add Arnold's "Shaft" to the list. That's a wonderfully percussive score. Awesome jammin' tunes.
