    Goodie Goodie Goodie!

Damnation Alley would be nice, but I thought there was some legal thing keeping FSM from releasing that.

CRACK IN THE WORLD is certainly a vivd sci-fi score, but beyond the realm of hope.

Well Boys and Girls....didn't anybody here notice the little clue Lukas put on the inside back cover of the latest FSM Vol.6, No.6???

Right at the bottom left of the page, it says, "Next month:Can you picture it?". Now, what kind of movie has to do with "picturing" something. "The Picture of Dorian Gray"? No, that was an MGM film, not 20th Fox. Mmmmmmm....what could that clue mean???

    NP:Modesty Blaise...John Dankworth

I bet that it is "The Illustrated Man". A friend talked to Lukas K. recently and he confirmed that I.M will come soon.

YES!!!!! I sure hope that's what it is. "A vivid science fiction score," quoth Lukas. I've been waiting for a good recording of this one for thirty two years - and oddly just remarked in a thread about bootlegs how, after all this time, it sure didn't look like an official release would show up.

The Illustrated Man! Picture THAT! Yes, it all makes sense now. One of Jerry Goldsmith's most brilliant scores, in my most humble opinion of course.

So I have to thank Mark T. for sharing it, but it will be great to have Illustated Man complete(or we can hope!) with the African Veldt cues intact.

Great score, looking forward to it....cat's outta the bad Doctor Kendall!

Well people, unless Lukas has made a deal with Warner Brothers, it WON'T be "The Illustrated Man". The Illustrated Man is from Warner Bros., and Lukas has been working the 20th Fox mines.
I sure hope he HAS made a deal to mine the Warner's titles, as there is a whole lot of GREAT film scores in the Warner's catalog. LET'S HOPE!!!

That's right, Shaun. The Wild Bunch is also a Warners film, but I'm not sure if that's a "real" FSM release or what the heck it is.

The Wild Bunch, Enter The Dragon and The Exorcist were FSM's tentative first date with Warner Brothers. The relationship was consumated with The Omega Man. If The Illustrated Man appears, it could mean the beginning of a long and happy marriage.

Yeah, and I'm sorry I bought this piece of crap. Modesty Blaise is without a doubt, the WORST piece of cow dung I've purchased in a long time. Who knew it was so bad.

Releasing CDs -- even limited-edition runs of 3,000 -- takes a lot of time, effort, legal junk, backing and MONEY. Along with a lot of other things I'm probably forgetting.

Lukas can do it because he spent an entire decade building a reputation, earning a fan-base, making sound business decisions and establishing contacts. Ten years of hard, hard work. It wasn't just something he decided to do one day.

In time, maybe PeterK will get there. We all certainly hope so! He's off to a good start (based on the fact that we're all here and mm.com hasn't gone under.)

Sakman, that's a good guess (John Williams' Images). The clue seems to fit to a degree, and I know that it's an oft-requested score, but wasn't that from an IRISH studio? Maybe it was some kind of co-production, or Lukas has worked a miracle again, but something doesn't ring true.

It would still be a great score to have.

On second thoughts, sakman, "picture this" fits with Images, but isn't it supposed to be "a vivid SF score"? So, not Images. Unless the clue and the description are for two different releases...
