Listen. Pot is a drug. It's a drug, not good, not bad. You can perceive it in any way you want to. I've used it many times. I, eventually, had an abuse problem. Most certainly it can be used in circumstances which warrant caution. At the same time, it's a mind-altering drug, and I can't say that is didn't at least change my thinking a little bit (sort of, thinking outside of the box); although, it would be tough to pinpoint exactly what caused my philisophical inquiries, the pot or the resulting anxiety.

Nonetheless, I should punch Clay in the face for resurrecting this thread, because it reminds me of how much of a wound-up little boy I was only a few years ago, and still am today, in many senses.

But, anyone who has that much anger/hate boiled up to lash out like Justin has... I think it's obvious at least one of the two has issues. I think Joey is just one of those laid back, surfer dudes that is maybe a little more on the simple-minded side and hey, he likes to smoke a joint, and maybe he likes movie music. Maybe he isn't using it to dissociate from reality.

The theme of all this? We all need to calm down. Some of us might need a little herb to do this.

Joey is an interesting character. Not that I can really afford to be thinking about any of this right now, but whatever... I've come to the same conclusion. Well said, Jason. Joey seems like one cool dude. He's playful, but not offensive. He's not littering other threads with off-the-wall responses. Instead, he creates his own off-the-wall threads -- which is fine, I guess - he doesn't do it all the time.
