I have this set for the long weekend and it is one of the best DVD's I've watched in a long time and I'm not even done yet.

I see now that Big Bear is either banned or ran away and asked to be removed. This ending is spooky good like the story of Dantoris and Dex.

    Indee it is Mark!
I just finished to watch the two documentaries about the movie and both are outstanding!!

The making-of (produced at the time the movie was shot) is a gem! Michael Palin kicks...

And the "Battle Over Brazil" is wonderful. To see all those tigh-ass executives trying to force Terry Gilliam to change his movie... Hilarious!!!!

But the most funny of all things is the Sid Sheinberg's "Love Conquers All" version! Those guys were really crazy to do that piece of crap with Gilliam's brillant vision... You have to see it to believe!

I was just wondering if you ever have anything postive or constructive to say about film scores, or films in general, or anything for that matter. I admit I am not a big film score buff, but at least I have my favorites, and have stated them on the board. I looked through and saw nothing from you other than a lot of negativity and lies. That Dex/Danteris guy/girl must have really taken you for a ride for you to be so obsessed with the other people on this board.

It seems like you are the alter ego of someone else on this board. Someone who would like to start the rumors and similar nonsense you have a knack for creating, but knows that it wouldn't look too good for their "rep"....it's just a hunch, but you don't have anything else to say other than well, excuse me, but bullpoop. Very interesting to say the least.

By the way, it took you a week to creep out from under your bed. Did you think people had forgotten you basically were publicly disgraced?

Now that I've seem Big Beer's face I can understand why he is such an insecure and agressive person.

Anyone who wants to see it, please just email me!

Now lets keep talking about.... BRAZIL!!

    Great, great!!

Criterion disc are notoriously expensive. Geez, the only two I could afford to purchase were Armageddon and The Rock.

I doubt that, Troll. You just cannot laugh. That would make your tigh-ass to expand and you would fart out loud.

Anyway, it was great to mock you around again and see that most people did enjoy it!

    Stick around, baby...

Big Bear, give it up you loser. Why did Big Bear run away? That says a lot. You are no girl, you are a sad freak of nature. I have not been disgraced. I have been friends with many people here for a long time and they suspect Big Bear and Emo are the same too. No one wants to discuss it because it's pathetic. I will join them now. You are a sad freak and should get over your obsession with Andre Lux and delete your account too. You will sleep better if you do.

ANDRE SAID: "I think Michael Kamen's score is just perfect for the movie. He uses a lot of references to Ary Barroso's Aquarela do Brasil (which is the tune that inspired Gilliam to do the movie) towards the score and it only makes it better."

I thrustfully disagree. I think that Kamen's obligatory quoting of the tune "Brazil" is dull & obvious. I suspect that the main reason why Andre likes it is because he's patriotically flattered by it.

    "Mark":

Here is the saddest part about your obsession.

You are a typical, pathetic, friendless fanboy who is so used to being alone that you cannot conceive of people actually being friends, making real human connections. There are actually people on this and other boards that I am friends with away from this computer terminal - imagine that if you can. I know a loser loner like yourself might have a hard time with that, but try.

Whoever Dex was, he obviously took you for a ride - probably a little cyber-sex action or IM flirting, so once their identity was revealed it only made you feel even worse about yourself than you already do. Musta made you look like a total twerp, huh. It isn't hard to imagine.

So now, you - "Mark" - are on a witch hunt so that you aren't taken for a fool again. The fact is, I never engaged you as "Mark" in a conversation so it should have never concerned you. Your accusations came out of nowhere, "Mark".

In any case, people (all your many friends) can speculate all they want as to who I am. People who honestly wanted to know have spoken to me and now know damn well who I am. Anyone else's suspicions, I don't care. And as far as Matt no longer being here, I think he simply got fed up with the 90210 drama that surrounds this board. Like me, he actually likes to talk about film scores.

What does interest me is this: I initially found out Bear had decided to abandon his account not from Matt himself but from Andre and you, by reading the board. It's interesting, "Mark", since NOWHERE on this board did Matt announce that he was leaving. From what I understand, he only spoke to / e-mailed Peter Kelly, so "Mark", how is it that you and Andre knew apparently moments after Big Bear and Peter spoke? Now let's talk about double identities, "Mark".

You've been a member of this board since July 20, 1999. However, you only have 70 posts to date, most of them aimed at me or Big Bear. From what I've seen, NEVER once have your posts been about film music. You do the math. Your account is nothing more than some gutless wonder's "avenging angel" handle, someone so cowardly that they don't have the balls to do their own muckraking. So "Mark", are you ready to reveal your true identity?

I'll end with this question: why is it that the guilty always accuse others of the same crimes? Do they really think it will throw off the scent?

Since this topic was recently resurrected, I thought I might bring up a delayed response to the replies against my post earlier in this broadcast. See, the difference between you and me Bear is that I can call Andre out on some things when I feel he is wrong...not everytime the boy opens his mouth. That first and foremost is the sign of a true rational debater. One that has the state of mind to look objectively at things, not in a prejudiced ignorant manner.

Secondly, to you and Emu, there are ACTUAL people that God forbid cannot AFFORD to stand in the Best Buy line to get their favorite dvd 2 disc set when it comes out. They use their parents shitty VHS camcorder and 2 VCRS to make their stories come to fruition. I suggest you read Robert Rodriguez's book on this. They don't have their Mommies and Daddies there believing in their big dreams and supplying them with their computers and money for school and such.

While I concede that Bear has made a competant film (the one that I saw), it wasn't earth shattering. When you make an Ed Zwick film, or a Scorsese picture or a Michael Mann quality first effort, then come back to me. HUMBLE is the key. Know that you are good. Stating that in any way only weakens that position. And yes, being a Midwesterner, I haven't come out to L.A. to play the big game, yet. That is because I recognize my place in that game. And so, when I get out there I will be prepared and I won't be wasting L.A.s time as you stated so many that do. I recognize the beast of filmmaking and have no disillusions about any aspect of it. And that is why I say you must be very humble in this industry. Ther are too many loudmouths that can be torn down in a single second...

No, Kamen did a perfect jog Luxius. He not even used the tune much.
I feel sorry for you not being able to dig it.

And I am not a patriot. Patriots are dumb.

Emo you are losing it. I got the Brazil DVD set this weekend and loved it so I thought I would post my thoughts. Excuse me if I noticed Big Bear's board status changed from "Evolved" to unregistered after I posted my message. I don't know when Big Bear was deleted because there are other postings by him that still say "evolved."

Go fly a kite. Your stupid evidence about me knowing a moments notice after FishChip deleted Big Bear's account only proves Emo is Big Bear. Unless Emo is always with Big Bear but that's probably not right because Big Bear has a girlfriend that makes fanboys drool. Big Bear Emo who ever. You are losing it because you are a loser. Get out of here.

Mark, apparently Big Beer/Omo/FAS asked to be beleted after I had some fun with his grotesque photo at FSM Kindergarten Board.

He get really hysterical. It was a real joy to make him/she/it taste a little of his/her/its own poison for a change...

Here Luxius, a few good lines to you concerning "Patriotism":

"The last refuge of the scumbags" (Samuel Johnson)

"When you hear a man talking about the love for his country be sure he expects to be paid for that" (H. L. Mencken)

"The patriotism is the virtue of the vicious" (Oscar Wilde)

"The patriotism is a pernicious and psychopath form of idiocy" (George Bernard Shaw)

"The patriotism is nothing else than bullshit: it's a word that just celebrates a robbery. There isn't one league of land which doesn't represent the come and go of successive owners" (Mark Twain)

    * Please notice that I had to translate the quotes from Portuguese back to English, so it may look a little different from the originals

    "Mark" aka..oh nevermind:

Thank you for being so obstinate. By answering none of my questions, you managed to answer all of them. It's amazing - the more you attempt to dodge bullets, the more they hit you square in that disgraced face of yours. Me and my "stupid" evidence - bottom line, it's still undeniable evidence.

You are so transparent it's really quite pathetic. You can't seem to get over this obsession with Big Bear and his girlfriend. You've mentioned it when responding to him several times - what is up with that? You are creepy, mister! Or just really, really isolated. I know you'd know nothing about this, but yes "Mark", I believe there are men on this board who actually have the privilege of putting their penises inside a real woman. Clearly, you aren't one of them.

Now little boy, why don't you take Rosy Palm and her five sisters back to your Mountain Dew-filled saturnalia - cyber Carmen Electra and Harry Knowles await you.

Getting back to the subject at hand, as much as I love Terry Gilliam I'm ashamed to admit I've never seen Brazil.

I must view this movie. I apologize for my lack of viewing.
